Shhhhh!!!

I think they have forgotten it. No mention of a date yet. And to quote a certain ex-manager - long may it continue.
(If we can get through the next 3 games at least Hendrick will be back).

It would be excellent if that's true.

I've just googled it and only found the mirror say that he SHOULD find out if he will be banned in a couple of weeks (from 2nd)

Hopefully they don't have a clue and it will, in fact, be June!!

If he does find out in the next couple of weeks, it doesn't look good that he'll be able to play away to Hull, along with Hendrick (and probably Defour).

Ouch.

If he accepts the punishment. Depending on the outcome, it may be that an appeal could then be launched.

Very true, there could be room for a tactical appeal if it's while hendrick is out!

There's a two and a half week turnaround from now until the Hull game. I might be being optimistic here but I'm not sure that enough for the notoriously slow FA to organise the hearing, conduct it, decide on and implement whatever punishment and take into account any appeal.

Ask if he could serve 1 match v Lincoln in advance, then 0-0 draw and miss replay. Barton and Hendrick both done 2 games......sorted......I wish

The 2 weeks is probably based on him just accepting any punishment without him requesting a personal hearing first. He will need his legal reps at that hearing. I'd be very surprised if all that can be concluded in 2 weeks.

Just said on another thread, I don't think anyone, including the Daily Mirror, has any idea when this is likely to be concluded, but I don't think it is likely to be imminent.

Just listened to the interview and am halfway through his book. He really is a changed man since coming to us.

Refused to slag off Rangers, utmost respect for SD and even said he felt humble at being back here which sounded sincere. I never thought I'd say this but he is what Burnley is all about, he seems to have found his spiritual home here. Long may it continue.

I love this photo of him with his hand on the Burnley emblem, he looks almost emotional. Maybe I'm just a big softie but it's nice to see something positive with all the doom and gloom in the media these days.

That was at Sunderland, I'm not into the kissing of badges when you score etc but this was after the match when the fans were showing their appreciation. It probably was genuine given his comments about how the fans could have turned on him after he walked out to go to rangers.

If only he'd realised that throwing a bottle at someone is a sign of affection in Burnley he may have been here a bit earlier.

And when the business goes sour? "Fck you pay me, fck you, pay me" and eventually they had to torch Turf Moor for the insurance. "Hey and you know what? The chairman even asked me to be godfather to his child at the christening."

Why didn't he get his mum to put the bets on, or his aunt? It's an easy obstacle for players to get round, but are they all so thick as to place the bets themselves??????

Regarding Barton's culpability, surely it's down to what he bet on what. If he bet on a game he was playing, to win then one could say it's simply conviction, faith to put it better. if he knowingly switched a game, then that's a different matter, if he gave a penalty away, for example, to win a bet.
Now that really is a serious matter. So they will have to look at every single bet and what part he played, if any, in the result. If he is not involved then I don't see what the problem is.

Maybe Tom, he wants to change and has at least been trying to for a good while. Some people never get that far.

He's some faults - he'd be the first to admit - and has been punished every time they've manifested themselves. Anyway, that's his business, he seems to have made a fairly good life for himself and his family in the end.

On the field you can't argue he's been an absolute ****ing legend for us in what has been a relatively short time.
