I don't think he will be suffering much longer - today's update below.

Bradley has had a settled day, he is no longer responsive but we know he is listening to everything we say. He is fighting so hard it's heart breaking for us to watch.

Our local news showed Defoe at a Press Conference in Bournemouth today and he was asked about Bradley -- he was visibly upset when he answered and said that he is in contact with the family on a daily basis.

From Bradley's Parents #keepFightingMate...

Bradley has had a settled day, he is no longer responsive but we know he is listening to everything we say. He is fighting so hard it's heart breaking for us to watch.
When the time comes there will be a update on his page first before anywhere else.
Thank you for all your kind words and support ❤️❤️

The BBC have now added the video to the link that was posted above - it shows just how emotional Jermain Defoe is.

So sad. 100% respect for Defoe and Sunderland, I would love to see them getting promoted next season.

They've just tweeted the following which suggests the sad end is fairly imminent

Bradley has not passed away yet, he is very poorly and weak but still fighting on

I just couldn't stand to watch that. Total respect to Jermaine Defoe. and total respect to Bradley's family, perhaps highlighting poor Bradley's illness will help others in the future.

"No longer responsive" :(

Can't bring myself to read past the headline this early in the day, have a tear in my eye just listening to Defoe's interview and reading the headline. :( :(

Life's not fair sometimes.

Thinking of him and his family, they will be in my thoughts today, and my prayers tonight. x

Your updates are very much appreciated Tony at what is a very sad time. I find that I cannot concentrate on any thread properly and keep looking for latest news on this one. I get very tearful just thinking about poor little Bradley and what his parents must be going through right now.
Full respect and credit to Jermaine Defoe in his support to the family.

Macca, I thought exactly the same thing after reading those 3 words in the body of a different link. It took me back to when my mum had cancer, and then you think, this is a bloody 6 year old. So sad.

It's so horrible having that awful sense of inevitability about the poor little mite.

Hope he finally gets the peace and respite from pain his short little life has been lacking.

Just been reported on Bradley's twitter page that he has sadly passed away.

He will be up there playing football with the angels

I'm sat here with tears in my eyes. I have a son aged 6, the same age as Bradley, so it just feels too real. Life can be so damn cruel sometimes.

RIP little man. Heartbreaking.
