He just admitted he did not have a good game, to me he looked tired in the first half so to say he only been here a couple of weeks would expect he will be fit by March, nothing to worry about as he takes one hell of a free kick :D

I saw a quote from Brady and he said he hadn't played particularly well.
But his goal got us the point so you can forgive him for not playing well.

he gave the ball away every time he had it. committed himself for their goal and looked off the pace. why do you think Super Dyche took him off?

Id say off the pace rather than poor. A few of our players gave it away cheaply in the first half which was probably a lot to do with the quality of the opposition.

Like Hendrick before him though it will take a little time to get up to speed with the way we play but you can def see the quality and potential

just like Hendrick (no S) , the step up will take time but Hendrick (no S) has been superb for us, Brady will be the same

You could tell when he came off that he wasn't happy with how he had played. Not sulking, just annoyed with himself, was how I judged his demeanour.

Not a great display but it will take him a while to get up to pace and used to the system and his role in it, a la Hendrick.

What a free kick though!!!

I think he did make a few mistakes .... that I'm sure he won't once he's fully embedded....

Was he the one who made the missed lunge for their goal on the half-way line? If so, it was a little reckless...but still had cover...

Edit: Can't believe I haven't mentioned that incredible free-kick. So, played his part.

I think he was taken by surprise by the intensity not only of the league but how we play. He was ok. But will get better as he gets fitter. His dead ball ability isnt in doubt.

He didn't have the best of games (apart from the free kick) but it's a good sign that he's annoyed with himself and can admit that he didn't have the best of games.

Hendrick didn't look fantastic in his first few games and look at him now. I've no doubt at all that Brady will be a big positive for our squad.

Incredible, incredible performance! Well done Sean and ALL the lads!

I thought he was quite poor, apart from the goal. But if he plays like that every game and bangs a few more of those free kicks in, that'll do for me.

I'm sure he'll get better though.

Superb goal, but I'd agree saying he looked off the pace constantly giving the ball away and running into trouble.
Just an adjustment thing though he'll be fine.

Superb free kick aside, he looked well off the pace and needs to work harder but that will come with fitness and time. I'm sure he will turn out to be a quality addition.

10 for the free kick, 3 for everything else. Will need to offer more to the framework to avoid being hooked regularly.

Can't wait until Dyche gets him up to speed with us, because his quality is not in doubt. Scored a wonderful free kick and just before that delivered a sublime ball to the back post that just went over Boyd's head.

The free kick was sublime, but the rest of his performance was poor. I wouldn't mind seeing the stats in his pass completion/ball retention ratio.

He'll get better of course. Was just off the pace today.

Brady had a poor game today, and it's something we were talking about in the stands. The fantastic goal aside he gave the ball away an awful lot, and didn't do much with it.

You can tel from his movements though that he desperately want to get forward and take player on. All bears well.

Totally agree with the OP. Absolutely fantastic free kick and will get used to playing the SD way in time, but overall was on the fringe and his defensive work was bobbins! We have to say it as it was TODAY.

He has to fit in to seans system of playing yet , our fitness levels and non stop running being part of it. To be fair chelsea caught burnley off guard early doors and have lightening pace on another level to the rest of the premiership.we kept calm regrouped and then coped with their pace and skill,we showed no fear wotsoever and werent overawed by them something sd instills into the players.great free kick.....utc!

I agree. Brady was poor today and struggled to cope with our system. I was glad to see him subbed and Scotty come on. Ball retention is paramount and Robbie kept giving it away

But what a goal....UTC

Here's a great stat from the BBC website:
Thibaut Courtois conceded a direct free-kick for the first time in his Premier League career.
Pretty amazing that!

We come from behind to take a superb point against the champions elect and within minutes of the final whistle the most important thing that someone can think of doing is to start a thread making a pretty stupid and irrelevant observation about a player who has scored an absolute peach of a goal on his full debut.

We must have some of the stupidest posters out of all the 92 league clubs. He has been playing in the championship and within 2 weeks he is playing against one of the top 5 teams in the world. Of course he was off the pace, who wouldn't be? These are the same posters who slagged off Dyche s appointment , the signing of Hendrick, Heaton on a free, and want to play a championship centre half in midfield in the Premind League.

I honestly give up.
