Heaton - 8 - Very little to deal with. Couldn't help the goal, solid when required.
Lowton - 8 - Perhaps should've scored. Good display, crossing could've been better.
Keane - 9 - Struggle to find faults with his performance. Rarely struggled against big opposition.
Mee - 7 - By and large very strong but a little shaky at times. A couple of mix ups where we might have ended up conceding.
Ward - 9 - Thought he was outstanding today. A real unsung hero and really worked the length of the pitch.
Boyd - 8 - Really stepped his game up.
Barton - 9 - Superb passing and marshalled that midfield all day.
Westwood - 8 - Good home debut. Partnered up pretty nicely with Joey.
Brady - 8 - Looked determined to take players on but sometimes lost the ball as a result. What a free kick though.
Gray - 8 - Some excellent hold up play. Did well with what little of the ball he had.
Barnes - 9 - Absolute nightmare for the Chelsea defenders. Really hassled them all game.

Subs:
Arfield - 8 - Came on and did what he needed to do really well.

8 and 9s individually there but that was a 10/10 team effort. What a fantastic point.

Heaton 7 Can't give him anymore because he had nothing to do of note
Ward 8 Solid and dependable all game
Keane 8 Got bamboozled for the Chelsea goal but hey come on, they're 10 points clear for a reason
Mee 8 Did well, some errors of note but didn't come to anything
Lawton 7 unlucky with his shot in goal. Went for between the keepers legs. On another day..
Brady 8 Did ok but didn't set the world on fire, extra point for the goal. He's playing against Chelsea in his first start in a new team so give the lad a break
Westwood 7 Did nothing wrong that I can recall Fitted in well
Barton 9 Ran the show yet again
Boyd 8 He's here, he's there, he's every f****** where
Barnes 9* He was superb. Really got in their faces
Gray 6 Wasn't his best game, should have done better with his big chance

Arfield 7 Got into the mix and gave it everything

Heaton 7 not that much to do but steady
Ward 8 Superb today
Keane 8 won everything in the air and covered Mee well
Mee 7 good game apart from a couple of dodgy moments
Lawton 9 MOM for me defended excellently and supported well
Barton 8 typical Joey Barton
Westwood 6 Fairly anonymous , that cross field pass negates the super ball forward at the end of the first half.
Brady 6+1 for brilliant free kick, off the pace generally
Boyd 9 close second behind Lowton
Barnes 8 Such a pest and caused them lots of hassle
Grey 6 Not really at it today it kept going as per usual.

Arfield 7 worked hard
Vokes n/a

Heaton 7 did what was needed.
Ward 8 very, very good game.
Keane 9 Added another few millions to his tag.
Mee 7 couple of clangers. But saves the day far more often than not.
Lowton 9 Superb today.
Barton 9 We love him! He loves us! And he shows it on the pitch.
Westwood 7. He'll soon be up to pace, along with Brady.
Brady 7 What a goal!
Boyd 8 What energy!
Barnes 9 (MoM) Excellent, all action game!
Gray 7 Never stopped!

Arfield 7 Filled in just nice.

Brilliant point against the Champions elect.
And we more than deserved it.

Agree re Lowton, fantastic performance both defending and going forward. Top notch performance by every one of them. That's the first point gained from a losing position!

Heaton 7 (Not a lot to do :) )
Lowton 9 (Won me over during this home form)
Ward 9
Mee 8 (The odd slip)
Keane 9 MOM (Which Keano cleaned up. Best CH I've ever seen in a claret shirt)
Barton 9 (Heart and soul of everything positive about us)
Brady 7 (the ball didn't stick a lot at times but what a classic free kick)
Westwood 8 (Tired a bit but a very impressive debut debut)
Boyd 8 (Broke them up and was tidy)
Gray 7 (Did his bit in a tough afternoon)
Barnes 8 (Old style CF, love him to bits)
Subs: Arfield 8 (I shouted good lad at the TV a few times as he cleverly won us throw in's and free kicks)

30 Points now, enough said. :D

Heaton - 6. - Goal was just class from Chelsea, kicking wayward today.
Lowton - 7 - Thought he had scored. Had a good game overall.
Keane - 8 - played much better than last week against better opposition.
Mee - 7 - Odd shaky moment but did well overall
Ward - 8 - very good game from Wardy today,
Boyd - 6 - Did what he does.
Barton - 9 - Against what has to be the best midfielders in the uk he was immense.
Westwood - 8 - one bad pass I am not marking him down for as he was superb today, another good Dyche buy, I need to stop wondering what Dyche sees because he gets it right more often than not.
Brady - 7. - Thought he had a poor debut today, however Kante was snapping at him as soon as he got the ball and Kante is world class. I am sure he will get a lot better with time . What a free kick though.
Gray - 7 - Should have leathered it.
Barnes -8 - Matic was at him most of the game, he gave his all bless him and they did not like it at all.

Subs:
Arfield - 7 - worked hard and defended really well.

Great point but we had the chances to win it and Chelsea didnt. Almost feel dissapointed we didnt win, but it was Chelsea. again great point

Off the telly.
Heaton 7. can't give more as he had so little to do.
Lowton 8.
Keane 9. If Vardy was in his pocket, Costa was in his back pocket.
Mee 8.
Ward 8.
Boyd 8.
Barton 9.
Westwood 7.
Brady 8. inc 1 for the goal.
Gray 7. He does deserve better service.
Barnes 9. MOM superb performance. won his headers, won his challenges and generally terrified them.

Heaton 7 not a lot to do
Lowton 8 impressive
Keane 9 outstanding.
Mee 7 few sloppy moments
Ward 8 another who was impressive
Boyd 8 did very well
Westwood 8 kept it simple and fitted straight into the way we work
Barton 9 Scottish air has done him a world of good
Brady 6 struggled today but what a free kick
Gray 7 worked hard but lacked composure when needed
Barnes 9 another top class performance. Really improving at this level.

Arfield 8

That was a really really good performance against an excellent side.

Heaton 7 nothing much to do. Distribution poor at times but difficult conditions.
Lowton 8 very solid game. If only he could cross the ball he would be a hell of a player
Mee 7 generally solid although a couple of shakey moments and some poor distribution
Keane 9 Superb game. Left a bit isolated for their goal but commanding performance
Ward 7 struggled a bit first half better second half
Brady 6 Did nothing other than the goal and lost the ball a few times in dangerous areas. Will take time to settle but obviously has great ability. Fantastic free kick
Barton 8 fantastic combative performance
Westwood 9 Brilliant game, was surprised by his range of passing. Has a great engine as well by the look of it
Boyd 7 worked hard as usual
Barnes 8 nusience as usual. Held the ball well at times. Some poor passing when he could have slipped others in a few times or when he didn't get his head up but overall good game
Gray 6 Feeding off scraps but worked hard. Should have done better with his one chance

Arfield 6 Don't remember him doing too much but worked hard for the team
Vokes 7 Held the ball up well and won some good headers including defensive ones

After the first 15 minutes when I feared we may get hammered we got organised and put in a fantastic team effort to get the point. Really stopped Chelsea playing after that and I can't remember them having a decent chance after their goal.

Heaton 6 Nothing to do and some poor kicking.
Lowton 9* Best match (again), really wasn't a fan but now think he has been outstanding for a month or two.
Keane 9 Incredibly solid
Mee 8 Another one who didn't put a foot wrong
Ward 8 Our defence is the best I've ever seen as a unit at Burnley
Boyd 7 Energetic as always
Westwood 7 Jones-like kept it simple always available, let us keep possession especially tricky as a middle 2
Barton 7 Joey is in a rich run of form. Will miss him when he gets suspended.
Brady 6 Including 1 for the goal.... bit of a stinker but that goal was something else.
Gray 6 7 for effort and 5 for effect...
Barnes 7 Typical Barnes... jostled and scavenged.

Arfield 6 We looked more solid but less threatening when he came on.

Agreed, We've responded really well after going behind since Joey returned. I don't think it's a coincidence. Him and Barnes just have that extra fight about them.

Absolutely amazing when you think about it. We were against the best team in England and one of the beat teams in Europe and we get this:

Barton 9... Unbelievably good
Westwood 8
Brady 6.....but WHAT A GOAL !!!!!
Boyd 9....immense
Barnes...8 Old school and love watching him. Mutual respect with Luiz I thought.
Gray ...7 Really thought he would bury his big chance

Arfield 7
Vokes 7

13 heroes today really and a totally absorbing game of football. Sean Dyche has fashioned a team, and a club culture, we should feel proud of.
My ST this season has been the best £430 I have ever spent.

Fantastic team effort. Thought Lowton played his best game for us. New boys need to settle into the team, so considering that they both did fantastic.

Fabulous afternoon at fortress Turf Moor. Just a wonderful game to watch, and an awesome Burnley performance to boot.

Heaton - 7 - Made one save of note after 3 minutes, otherwise redundant. His kicking was unusually wayward at times, but he did the basics as well as ever.

Lowton - 10 - Almost deserved to score to cap off the best full back performance I've seen from a Burnley player. Must remember to take Pedro and Hazard out of his pocket before his shorts go in the wash, and his link play down the right hand side was a joy and constant threat.

Ward - 9 - Similar to Lowton, but not as much of an attacking threat.

Keane 9 - Used his pace to clean up on the exceptionally rare occasions that Chelsea threatened to get in behind, dominated Costa in the air.

Mee - 7 - Organised the boys tremendously, but a couple of chaotic moments from him probably presented Chelsea with their clearest routes to goal in the second half.

Barton - 9 - Apart from the ill-judged and over committed tackle which resulted in him being booked, I don't think he made a bad decision all day. Managed the game brilliantly, galvanised and organised the team at 1-0 (particularly the newcomers either side of him in the midfield), won balls he had no right to win, and used the ball superbly. He's having some Indian summer since he returned.

Westwood - 8 - Took the first 15 minutes to get the hang of the set up, but once he did, he was terrific, one poor cross-field pass aside, but he showed he can do the dirty stuff by taking one for the team and giving away the foul. Thought he and Barton shielded the centre backs extraordinarily well.

Boyd - 8 - Full of running, some lovely link up play, huge defensively and a real threat going forwards. There aren't too many players who can do such a shift as a de facto wing back but then pop up as an inside forward when required without giving anything away.

Brady - 6 - The weak link if we're being honest. I think he touched the ball about 7 times in the first half. 6 of them were pretty abysmal but the 7th was an absolute peach. Got better into the second half, and in particular got to grips with the challenge defensively to a far greater extent. He can improve, and he will.

Barnes - 7 - A real, indefatigable nuisance to Chelsea throughout the game. Perhaps as ever with a bit more finesse he'd have slid Gray through a few more times.

Gray - 7 - Should have scored as we all know, but for the 5th league home game in a row he bulled his opponents into submission, and on this occasion we're talking about 3 world class performers (particularly Luiz). Ran the channnels relentlessly and his link up game is improving all the time, but the moment which symbolised his - and his teammates' - ethos was the moment he sprinted 50 yards to prevent Luiz having an easy opportunity to tidy up at the back and instead won us an attacking throw-in. It rattled Chelsea, changed momentum, and gained us about 60 yards and the chance to attack rather than having our backs to the wall. Just sensational spirit.

Arfield - 7 - Came on and helped us block up the left side, and it was no surprise that Conte decided to change formation soon after.

Vokes - 6 - No great opportunity in attack, but produced one brilliant defensive header to clear our lines.

This Chelsea side combine being good to watch and fluid on the ball with being uncompromising, tough and professional better than any side I've seen since Arsenal's invincibles, so to not only contain such a wonderful side, but arguably outplay them in terms of chances created was an absolutely spectacular effort. We spent 15 minutes at sixes and sevens, but then go back to executing what was probably always the game plan absolutely perfectly, and we got our rewards. The fact Conte abandoned his wing backs system to go 4-4-2, and then threw on an extra striker to boot just demonstrated exactly how good we were. The pity is that we didn't get the win we in some respects deserved, but we more than played our part in a cracking, end to end encounter, and class act that Conte is he more than acknowledged that after the game.

These really are amazing times.

Heaton - 6 Nothing to do after the 7th minute. Kicking was under par today
Lowton - 9 Superb performance and maybe should have scored
Keane - 9 This lad is going all the way. Going to be an England defender for many years to come ⭐️
Mee - 7 Love Ben but mistakes and slips creeping in
Ward - 9 Tremendous performance and great energy to get up and down the line
Boyd - 8 Was a critic of his but he is a major part of this fabulous team with his work rate
Barton - 8 Typically Joey with an all action performance
Westwood - 8 Assured home debut without standing out
Brady - 7 Once he is 'Dyche' fit he will be major asset with that left foot. What a free kick!
Barnes - 9 An absolute nightmare to play against. Not tremendously gifted but gives his all every game even though it's sometimes close to the line
Gray - 7 Worked hard and maybe should have worked Courtois more with his chance

Arfield - 7 Slotted in well and did what Scotty does

A draw against the champions elect is a fantastic result and one which we would have snapped the hand off if offered.....but after the game and analysing it who was the team with all the best chances and probably deserved the 3 points but can't be too greedy!!

Have to disagree here. I thought Barton's foul for his booking was a great sacrifical act on behalf of the team. Stopped their break at a crucial time. Great decision from Joey.

Apart from that i agree with your assessment
