Paul Nuttall - a man of integrity

Post by RingoMcCartney » Wed Feb 15, 2017 9:02 am

Taken from the Guardian.

Ukip have subsequently announced that a party press officer, Lynda Roughley, had offered her resignation, and issued a statement in which she was quoted as saying: “I am entirely responsible for the website post regarding Paul’s comments about having ‘close friends’ who died at Hillsborough. Paul is a man of great integrity and would not say something he knew to be untrue. It’s me who has made this mistake, and one I feel absolutely terrible about.

You seem to be confusing predictions with lies.

I'm off work tomorrow and we're having a family day out. The weather forecast says the weather will be fine, so if my day is spoilt by rain I'll be calling for sackings at the met office over their 'lies'!!

The predictions do prove one thing though - people are apt to see what they want to see.

The same goes for the criticisms of Nuttall as it does to the criticisms of the Labour candidate.

Frankly, from what I can garner of their personalities I wouldn't want either as my MP. One is an egotist who craves attention and the other is a libtard stooge who hates most of the policies his constituents would like to see implemented.

They're both a pair of turds.

So if I lived in Stoke I'd vote purely along party political lines on this one.

What Operation Fear tried to do was bully and frighten people into voting to remain in the biggest ever expression of democracy Britain as seen.

They lied through their teeth about "emergency bugdets" "world war 3" "Siemens leaving " "unemployment rocketing" "being cut adrift". These were senior politicians, the IMF , The ONS, The Treasury, the Governor of the bank of England. Supposedly experts.

Since their lies many of them have had to come back with their tails between their legs and fess up.

Trying to compare the weather forecast with blatant conscience lies is in a once in a life time national politica decision, stretching it !

But I genuinely hope you and the family have a great day out. Half term and all that.

Again, predictions not lies (and it's worth noting we haven't actually left yet, so a number of the predictions may yet turn out to be accurate)

Let's not forget the BBC reported claim a year earlier. He mustn't have been covering his own press very closely.

Even the bbc and sky are putting this non story well down their running order.

They've realised it's run out of steam and Liebour are starting to look silly trying to squeeze any political mileage out of it.

Especially with their loose cannon candidate!

Hysterically claiming the referendum result was "a pile of sh1t " in a town where the vast vast majority of voters voted for Brexit. Then tweeting sexist and derogatory stuff about women!!!

Genius!

Aye, some hilarious hypocrisy on here, like on t'other thread - defending Nuttall and giving the benefit of the doubt to him, whilst liberally tarnishing other politicians as liars and crooks.

Fact is the majority of politicians of all persuasions are good people doing something they believe in and who play by the rules though. Nuttall has - like Farage before him - made a career out of implying they're all self-interested liars, when in fact the cap fits rather well for themselves. As this episode amply shows.

I once actually had a drink with Nuttall and he came across as a really genuine guy. No airs and graces, just a salt of the earth normal bloke like you or I.

That gets my vote and at the end of the day, that's what really matters.

Very clever stuff by Labour. Put up a controversial candidate in a place they think they might lose, then publicise some rather stupid comments made by said candidate, so that when you lose you can blame the candidate rather than the party.

Unfortunately UKIP have blown it by putting up an even more stupid candidate who seems to be claiming links to Hillsborough that he cannot substantiate.

End result? Either way Stoke get an idiot for an MP.

With the greatest of respect Rowls, it isn't.

What matters here is whether the bloke is in the habit of lying, or at least chronically over exaggerating things, to help his own ends - including cynically exploiting one of the most appalling tragedies of the last 50 years.

It turns out that in fact, he is. So whether or not he can hold a decent conversation over a pint, he's clearly not a very nice bloke.

Gareth Snell seems like a bit of a bellend from what I've read. Though I believe that'll be the first and last time you ever make a case for political correctness. Consider your posting history and remember that ^^^ post, 'the time you took a PC stance', the next time you find yourself labelling someone a hypocrite.

Ah well, this has been a bit of fun, hasn't it?

Of course, I've never had a drink with the man. But it got a funny remark from Lancaster and a stupid one from the usually much more sensible Walton.

The only thing that really makes this interesting to me is what this by-election represents and why people are getting so excitable about it.

It possibly represents the collapse of Labour voting among working class communities and the rise of UKIP as their preferred second choice to the Conservatives. Unthinkable only a few years ago but that is what will happen when you ignore concerns about immigration for decades and call the people whose votes you want 'racist'. Whilst Walton, for example, won't have been entirely serious (we hope) his nasty barb demonstrates that the mindset still exists and is still feeding those who would exploit racial tensions.

The two parties couldn't have picked more representative candidates. Labour has a man who hates working class opinions on the EU and immigration who thinks that everyone who voted for Brexit is 'racist' whilst UKIP have gone for the 'whacky' candidate.

Not at all mate. It's the kind of stuff you get from the privileged Left.

I'm currently listening to 5 live and they're having a fone in about the minimum wage and zero hours contracts.

The exploitation and grinding poverty that's going on in this country is something that the dwellers of the of the metropolitan London Borough of ivory towers, don't have to concern themselves with do they?

It's nice for them to go out with other kept in clover luvvies politely sipping their socialist champagne, as they reinforce their bigotry to the working class.

While the echo chamber dwellers are communally patting themselves on the back the Real People are just getting on with their lives.

You see people like him accuse the Right of wanting everybody to LOOK like themselves.

While the Left demand that that everybody THINKS like themselves.

They claim to love diversity.

They hate diversity of opinion.

No anger here fella. As far as the metropolitan sneering class are concerned, it's par for the course....

And let's be honest this is just a footy forum. Not of this really matters.

Sadly, real life isn't like a BBC children's drama and people don't often publicly declare everything they think, announce what emotions they are feeling or give a running commentary on their thoughts.

It makes me feel sad to think that anyone would do that.

You normally come across as an intelligent guy martin_p but I did offer last week to end every post I make on here with a signature phrase along the lines of "This is my opinion".

However, I had assumed that only the less intelligent posters were taking my opinions to be literal statement of Turtlish "fact". Besides which, I'm not sure this message board has the facility to create signatures.

This is, of course, all my opinion and not a "fact".

Of course, I've never had a drink with the man. But it got a funny remark from Lancaster and a stupid one from the usually much more sensible Walton.
Just to clarify, my post was meant to denigrate Paul Nuttall rather than yourself Rowls - I wasn't suggesting you were the EDL leader, or subscribe to the EDL's ethos. It was purely to show that he keeps particularly bad company, and your post allowed me to shoehorn it in.

This cannot be used as a catch all excuse for lying.

E.g. It could (hypothetically) be my opinion that "Rowls is a racist" (for avoidance of doubt, it isn't), but if I said that in public you would be entitled to call me a liar or at least demand evidence. That's no different to what you have done to Snell.

The guy on the right looks so much like the Newcastle United MD, Tottenham boy Mike Ashley's puppet.

Is this thread really about Stoke Newington?

He said this they said that she insinuated that!!!
would it not be better concentrating on the problems that Stoke obviously has and let Nuttall and Snell
lay down their proposed solutions and get away from this PC crazy pantomime we go through at every
election...
