I was the older of the 2 Sids so my initials are DS which suggests that I may have got my dates wrong. I'm still in touch with Ratty but I've lost contact with Tom Kelly.

It's good to hear that there were more Clarets there after I left. We were surrounded by fans of the usual suspects, Leeds, Man U, Liverpool, Everton.

Yes, I've figured who you are and yes, Joe is my younger brother. I saw Dave Hopkin's and Regina Arkwright's picture in the Lancashire Telegraph and I was taught by both of them.I only found out recently that Stuart Ingham died soon after retirement. Very sad - one of my favourite teachers.

Yes that was sad, Sciences weren't my strongpoint ( That's putting it mildly ! ) but I remember him well. Colin Haworth, Fred Bury, Bill Proctor and Fred Raby have also moved on to the " Great Classroom in the Sky ". I spoke to Roger Hughes, PE teacher, a few months ago... he still does some reporting for Sky on a Saturday, usually from one of the N/W lower league games. Glad you're keeping well...

Fearns was not a school it was a day centre. No one received much of an education at Fearns when I went in the 70s.

From what I am led to believe its not much better today, but at least they now have a curriculum.

Claretcliff, no I never kept in touch. Didn't settle until 1976 and I was in a whole new world then. Tried that Reunite site a few years back and exchanged a couple of emails but wasn't in the best of health/frame of mind at the time and just too much going on for me to pursue anything. But it's good that there are quite a few on here from school. Mental really. Anyway best wishes to you and yours.
