Robbie Brady
I wasn't at Hull today so I don't know how he played, but in the game against Chelsea he was poor and in my eyes rightly substituted, but for all the stattos out there, 1 goal & 1 assist in 2 games is a pretty good first start. Has he really been as good as those stats show in his first two games?

Poor final balls today....skied about 3 from memory. Good corner for our goal.
Re: Robbie Brady
Thanks Ian .I wasn't there working away .I wanted to know as well .
Re: Robbie Brady
Early days for sure - but he has had 2 poor games against Hull and Chelsea but as you say still contributed with a goal and an assist which have helped earn us 2 very valuable point.
His best performance was actually when he came on against Watford.
He needs time to get fit and settle into our system - just like Defour, Hendrick etc.

Re: Robbie Brady
He worked back well and linked up with Ward to create positions but his delivery was dire.
Re: Robbie Brady
This. But if he can score or assist every game I'm not too bothered.minnieclaret wrote:He worked back well and linked up with Ward to create positions but his delivery was dire.
Re: Robbie Brady
Early days I hope he is allowed time. Not his fault transfer fees are at a level were we expect instant brilliance.

Re: Robbie Brady
Poor final ball but a threat going forward on the wing. Think he's going to be a good player for us.

Re: Robbie Brady
Exactly needs time to settle in. Just like Hendricks who I felt took a good month or two before he really started to put his top performances in. Final ball not really spot on today but good movement and pace we will love him.

Showed that he is a talent. Once he settles and possibly gets fitter he will excel

Re: Robbie Brady
Think Brady was trying too hard. Grosicki was far more eye-catching - how we could do with his pace!
Neither seemed capable of delivering a decent cross though.

Re: Robbie Brady
exactly the same as Hendrick (no S), shaky first month then he'll get up to speed and be superb for us. Brady is class

Re: Robbie Brady
I'm confident he will be fine. I wasn't impressed with Hendrick at first but he has come good. Just shows where we have come being able to attract these quality you players.

Final ball not there yet from open play but it will come. His quality from dead balls is already especially evident though and has already earned us two points.
I have a feeling we won't fully see the best of Brady until next season.

Re: Robbie Brady
That wasn't very good English, I meant it just shows how far we have come
Re: Robbie Brady
Understand what the OP means, however he can have another 2 "poor games" for me if he scores 1 and makes one in the next 2...

Re: Robbie Brady
Yes his crossing wasn't the best but there is so much more to Brady's game than that. Actually thought he was excellent today especially first half. Adds lots and will look even better with a first choice midfield.

Re: Robbie Brady
Excellent touch, vision and footwork. Just trying too hard whilst also nowhere near used to the intensity we work at. Once he has had some time like Hendrick has as pointed above he will be top drawer.
His delivery is what we have missed massively for some time. Possibly since elliott!

So far worth 2 points.cricketfieldclarets wrote:

A full season he may be worth 10+ points to us per season.
I am always an admirer of a well worked set peice goal. It shows great work on the training ground.
A great addition to our team.

Re: Robbie Brady
Pretty good with a dead ball.
If he can master kicking a moving one, we've got a player.

Re: Robbie Brady
Thought he done everything well apart from his final ball.
He had a good mazy run where he got body checked that won us a dangerous free kick.

Re: Robbie Brady
Really enjoyed watching him today. Excellent first touch and oozes quality. Missed a couple of final balls admittedly but the upgrade from dear old Scottie is huge. Was a lot better than against Chelsea and can't wait to see him in tandem with Hendrick. FotMob rated him our best player and I can see why.

Yes. Purely because we barely saw him. But another whos record from set pieces was fantastic. Especially minutes to goal / assist ratio!Frenchclaret wrote:Are you forgetting Mattie Taylor?

First big money dud?
Re: Robbie Brady
He gets involved, plays with his head up and tries to make things happen. You can tell he has quality, he's the complete opposite to Arfield.

Re: Robbie Brady
Pretty sure I could hear Dyche yelling 'press him, Robbie!' in the MOTD highlights. He'll take time to get used to our way of playing as Defour and Hendrick did, for example. There have been some promising signs and he's already got a goal and an assist or two.
Re: Robbie Brady
I thought he played fairly well apart from wasting a couple of excellent crossing positions. Will be a key player for us once he's fully settled, I'm sure.
