Many thanks to all concerned. Not much gets me excited these days but this is like a late Christmas present. Always enjoyed the flippant debates and the more profound topics in equal measure but so many interesting posters had disappeared or backed down, leaving juvenile arguments. Hopefully this new, more user-friendly format, will bring back old friends and lively discussion. The signs are good already. Congratulations and good luck. UTC

Theres a smell of new paint and I haven't got used to the sparkly beer pumps yet but there seems to be a lot of familiar old faces on the new dance floor so I guess I'll have a couple and see how it goes.

Someone could have told me they were knocking the old boozer down overnight though!

Evening lads good to see so many old faces from Clarets mad, some of you may remember from CM I've been trying to set up something like this for a while but lacked the time to set it up, glad someone has bitten the bullet. I even developed a specific addon that removed most ads from only CM anyhow hope to be on here more often. If you need any help with the Web development, graphics or social media give me a shout sure I can help out!

Well done to everyone for the creation of a brand new Burnley FC website, which looks great and obviously involved a lot of hard, smart work on the part of a small group of people...bring on the football chat, the comedy, the breaking news, the music, the photographs, the football chat, the food threads, transfer news, best beer/best pubs/best restaurant threads, 'history of Burnley' threads, 'joke' threads, current affairs threads, the football chat and much more...the demise of 'ClaretsMad' had me worried, no need to worry now. I am sure the membership numbers will rise quickly, and a lot of usernames from the past will re-appear...good luck... UTC

Hi Cajun. Good to see you on here. It was grim logging on and seeing fewer and fewer CM stalwarts. That's NOT meant to be offensive to new Clarets reading and/or registering on this forum. On the contrary, the more the merrier. But it's great to hear from Clarets who'd been put off by the policy of FM.

Well done to all concerned. I've been on CM since the early days (different username) but posted less and less until it just became reading the posts and I've even been doing that less and less too due to how unusable it became.

Good morning. It's good to be back (feels like we've gone back 10 years!)

Just seen the members number on here is now 751! Not bad for a new site in about 24 hours.

My main complaint with this messageboard is a serious one. I am going to need a good excuse to tell my clients why their tax returns aren't in by the end of the month. I'm not sure "well the new BFC meassageboard is too damn good" will go down too well.

I wasn't a big poster on CM but a fairly frequent (though with diminishing regularity) reader. Like quite a few, I've taken the opportunity to change my username.
I'm looking forward to rejuvenated debates/experience sharing.

New joiner signing in. I've been a Claret since mid-1960s. I nearly signed up on another message board following the excitement of Wembley - but delayed. I didn't like anyone to think I was a glory hunter! I'm looking forward to being on this new message board. UTC.
