The Burnley Twitter account described it as a scorpion kick, so might be a bit more spectacular than a header

I know that Agyei was on the bench on Saturday But that was due to numbers wasn't it? How far is he off pushing the first team, does anyone know?

I think we're all really keen to see someone come through the ranks. I don't know anything about this lad, but am I right in thinking he's probably the closest one to getting a shot at the first team?

Agyei hasn't come through the ranks though, was signed from AFC Wimbledon.

Wrong choice of words.
I think we're all really keen to see someone come through the development system and get in the first team.

Dunne is a player I like. Played in midfield today rather than at centre half.

Long way to go for any of them though if they are going to make our first team.

3 assists for McNeil including 2 from flag kicks.

Highlights the importance of set plays, but also it can't be too difficult to put the ball in the correct area on a regular basis.

I think Kevin Long needs to play a few more first team games before trying to copyright himself as a brand.

We have scored 15 goals, including 4 penalties, from set pieces this season.
WBA have scored 17, Liverpool and West Ham both 16 and then Bournemouth, Swansea and us all on 15 so somebody must be doing something right.

Interesting comment,CT. Two things I would always look for in a footballer are 1. can he control a football and 2.can he pass a football? If the answer to both of those is yes than I believe there is a chance. Taking away 'physicality' which they obviously develop through time what strikes you as being areas where further improvement is needed?

Didn't say there wasn't a chance, just said there is a long way to go for any of them if they are to become first team footballers.

Here he is.

So 9 then before the set peice specialist ( Brady ) arrived and excluding the penalties?
But let's not let facts get in the way of an arse kissing opportunity.

I think most people realise we did lack a quality delivery, until Barton and Brady arrived. I'd like to see the first 19 games stats to the ones since.

In the first 19 games we scored 4 goals from set pieces plus two penalties.
in the last 7 matches we have scored 5 goals from set pieces plus 2 penalties.
Of those 5 goals, Brady and Barton have scored with free kicks, one came from a corner taken by Brady and 2 came from corners taken by Arfield which were nodded down by other players for Mee and Vokes to score.

Think you might have misunderstood what I was saying. I was just wondering what you thought, having seen them play, where areas of their game generally needed improving. That's all.

Thank you for that.
Quite interesting too.

So only 4 from set pieces in the first 19 games, and already a lot more in the following games.
Seems it wasn't only me and the 95% of fans with eyes and basic football understanding thought our set pieces could be improved, but also Sean Dyche.
He has rectified the problem which has in turn improved the goals to games ration, which in turn has won us some points.

Should serve us well for our remaining time in the premier league, if we can find different ways of scoring and picking up points.

Obviously I don't want any facts or opinions to cause any unnecessary unrest, so thank you for a informative response.
It has only confirmed what I knew, but still a very impressive up turn in such a short space of time.
