Robinson 3
Lowton 4 (a mark off for his "hello sailor" on the edge of the box immediately before Swanseas 2nd)
Ward 6
Keane 6
Mee 6
Barton 6
Hendrick 6
Brady 4
Boyd 3
Vokes 5
Gray 8
Arfield 5

A game too far for Robinson IMO. No spring in his legs, poor anticipation and his dithering gave up chance after chance to Swansea

Thought Ben may have been fouled for the winner.
But didn't watch the replays.
We were battered. Positives from today's game, I found a pound coin behind the sofa I'd dropped last week.

Blimey that was dire. I hated pretty much every minute watching online so how those poor fans that made the long journey must have felt I cant imagine. SD had a chance to change things at half time but didn't and some of the comments around about lacking bravery are starting to gain credence.
We made Swansea look like world beaters. They wont go down but they are not great.

Robinson 6 - Not sure why people are moaning so much about him

Lowton 6 - Not bad
Keane 7 - He's class
Mee 8 - Loves a last ditch clearance
Ward 6 - Harshly booked and limited thereafter

Boyd 3 - I'm sorry, you can't possibly defend that. He gave it away just about every time he got it, has been doing so for a while, and didn't exactly track the runner for the 2nd goal very well, considering he's in the team because he 'runs'. Time for a rest. Til summer. Then get rid.
Hendrick 6 - Good at breaking forward but had no out ball - full backs are never up in time.
Barton 6 - As always, decent.
Brady 5 - Had to spend the whole time doing what he's not there to do i.e. defend.

Gray 7 - Did well. Would be an 8 but for that bladdy first touch of his
Vokes 6 - Not his fault the ref gave the pen as the Swansea fans seem to think. Good header for the 2nd, but didn't win enough of them for him

Of course it's been a fantastic season, we've earned the right to be in a position where today was never a 'must win' and it doesn't matter all that much that we lost, great. However, that was dreadful. We're always hard to beat etc. but nobody can deny we're frustrating on the ball and that was a real case in point today. If Boyd is in the team primarily because he runs, put someone else in, because they'll be able to run as well.

Robinson 4. not good enough today, looked ponderous.
Lowton 6 thought he did ok
Ward 6 they loaded up that flank and Brady didnt do enough to help
Keane 6 I though he could have done better on the first goal
Mee 6 he was fouled for the third but ref wanted to pay amends for the pen.
Barton 6. I hope having his hair cut has not affected his power as a footballer
Hendrick 6 did ok in a hard game for ud
Brady 4. slightly missing today
Boyd 4 chuffing hopeless, whats happened to him
Vokes 7 not sure why peeps are moaning, not getting any service
Gray 7 good goal, worked his socks off

Arfield 5

Strange pen decision had the ref trying to even out his bad decision.
Would have been harsh on Swans to lose today.

Robinson 5
Lowton 6 great cross for Gray who should have scored.
Keane 5 ponderous and at fault for the first. Seriously off form in the last few games. Sorry I know it's not allowed to say anything negative about him
Mee 7 good throughout
Ward 6 hampered by the booking
Boyd 6 did well at second right back
Barton 6 ok
Hendrick 4 couldn't tackle an old lady
Brady 4 couldn't tackle a blind old lady
Vokes 5 good assist
Gray 8 did well all afternoon

Subs - no impact

[quote="claretgilly"]Robinson 6 - Not sure why people are moaning so much about him

On at least three occasions Robinson was caught under the ball due to his decision making, two of those hit the bar,one was headed over. One flap lead to Burnley having to clear the ball off the line and another flap lead to a chance that went wide. Add this to the three conceded and I can understand the low marks

Robinson 4 seemed to lack confidence.
Lowton 5 lacked support.
Mee 7 some great clearances
Keane 7 mostly solid but we did let in 3 goals
Ward 5 see Lowton
Boyd 3 thought he was terrible today. Despite his running he often didn't get close to the man he was tracking especially for their second goal
Barton 6 disappointing by his standards
Hendrick 6 see Barton
Brady 5 another disappointing showing
Gray 8MOM not just for the goals but for the hold up play
Vokes 5 can see why some question whether he is good enough.
Arfield 5 didn't make a difference

Woeful performance that stank the place out. Only Gray, Keane, and Mee come out with any credit. Robinson, Boyd and Brady were disgraceful.

The 3-2 scoreline certainly flattered us.

We need to improve sharpish because that wasn't even close to good enough.

So Robinson being poor (ok he did look a bit low on confidence) is the explanation behind us not stringing three passes together? Not sure I get that

I don't think anyone has said that but he was all at sea in the opening minutes and I though he set the tone for the whole game. He did OKisb last time he came in but I thought he looked dreadful this afternoon.

Robinson 5- Haven't seen the goals back but we really missed Heaton today.
Lowton 6- Feel he played ok but all Swansea's play in the second came down that side
Mee 7
Keane 7
Ward 6- same as Lowton but in the first half
Brady 5- Needs time, Expect the same people on Hendricks back to be out in full force tonight
Barton 5- Could be his last game, didn't look himself.
Hendrick 6
Boyd 6- Normal Boyd runs around, good against the better sides. But rarely shows for the ball, offers little on the ball, can't remember the last time he crossed. But understand why he is in the team.
Vokes 5- Barnes straight back in, did little to impress
Gray 8- Was really good today, should give him a lot of confidence.

Had time to calm down after that but you cannot defend Boyd's performance today. He was an absolute joke. Didn't stop any crosses coming in all afternoon. Woeful on the second, unacceptable on the winner.

Arfield is a better option. The sooner JBG is fit the better. There's a reason he hasn't been offered a new contract.

Boyd played a lovely ball ten yards behind Brady in the second half, though.

Just back from the game, same marks. Well played Swansea. I thought their fans were very impressive at singing, being Welsh they kind of should be, moan about every decision, but sing very well. Nice compact ground, the type I'd like for us if we ever built a new one, just the 30k+ version.

Brady - why do we seem to be trying to turn him into the new arfield? Clearly he has something about him and we shouldn't quosh that. In order to develop as a side we need to bend/stretch the framework to allow the defours and Brady's to flourish and add to what we have.

Didn't see the game but judging by the marks given to Robinson, how can we be so badly prepared that he is our back up keeper ? He was poor when he left rovers let alone now. If he is better than pope then we are in big trouble if heaton gets an injury. Bad day today all round. J

Leaving everything else aside, Robinson got his angles completely wrong for the second goal. Sure it was a good, powerful finish, but if Robinson had been where he ought to have been, it'd have been straight at him. He made it easy.

Unfortunately, that is an absolutely crucial moment in the game.

Robinson 5 looked past it and underlined how good Heaton is. However Pope in future please.
Lawton 5 last two Swansea goals came from his position.
Mee 6 couldn't handle Llorente but brilliant stop on the line.
Keane 6 as above, left Lowton to deal with Llorente for goal #1 as per Deeney goal at Watford.
Ward 6 coped reasonably well with Brady in front of him.
Barton 6 dominated by Swansea for most part
Hendrick 6 some good runs occasionally.
Boyd 4 Swansea had much joy down our flanks
Brady 4 negligible contribution
Vokes 5 won a few headers, set up second goal but not really a threat.
Gray 8 scored twice and given the scanty service was a real threat.

Arfield 6 looked better than Brady
Tarkowski 4
Westwood 4 pointless substitutions unless the players they replaced were done in.

Bringing Westwood plus Tarkowski on invited Swansea on It worked OK for ten minutes but neither provided the possession or composure to see the game out and eventually we got found out by another cross on the nut of the excellent Llorente, who was the major difference between the two sides.

Not sure but I think I may have seen it in 2015 when he scored a worldie against City. It's that long ago I can't be certain though.

He does run around a lot though so that's a guaranteed 6 in some fans eyes despite complete lack of threat for a winger. Maybe we could ask what Mo Farrah is doing next season, as he would suit as replacement for Boyd's ability in this framework.

Robinson 6 He made a couple of super saves. Only the 3rd goal was iffy.
Lowton 7
Keane 7
Mee 7
Ward 6
Boyd 6
Barton 6
Hendrick 6
Brady 3 - did not even bother to chase back....just watched the player disappear, every time. Cardinal sin!
Vokes 6 - won loads of headers inc one for 2nd goal....not to mention the pen!
Gray 7 2 goals = 2 points extra!

Arfield 6

Outclassed today. On that form, Sunderland, Hull, Middlesbrough and Burnley are the 4 teams to fight the spots. Nooooo!

Robinson - 5 Couldn't work out why he was kicking centrally when we had Andre on his own in the latter stages.
Lowton - 6 Stuck at it with Swansea rampant down his side.
Ward - 6 Early booking had us all nervous for the rest of the game
Keane - 6 Won plenty of headers from their set plays
Mee - 5 Up against a bit of a beast in Llorente
Boyd - 5 See Lowton didn't contribute going forward
Barton - 6 Cool head in midfield, decent enough
Hendrick - 5 Didn't influence the game for us
Brady - 5 Not yet at it, getting used to our system and he has the quality to improve us but wayward yesterday.
Vokes - 4 Fair do's he flicked in for Gray's 2nd but thought he didn't offer enough yesterday
Gray - 7 Outstanding finish and caused them problems after a poor start to the game.

Arfield - 5

We were absolutely rinsed down our right by Olsen, Carroll and Sigurdsson, thought that one of our central midfielders should have moved across to help out as they were ridiculously good.

You have to give the classless turd Clement credit for sorting the left hand side in the January transfer window as well as galvanising the whole side, they were very good and that's what did us, sometimes you have to hold your hands up.

Ironically we were holding them well after the subs came on when they got the winner.

Have to say the night in Swansea was a good one round Wind Street, the live band in the No Sign bar were excellent, the evening improved when the realisation hit home that the 9 point cushion was still intact.

For all their dominance, Swansea's defence wasn't much better than ours and the amount of space they gave Gray for our second was criminal!

Didn't go, thank God. Some of the comments on here make things sound pretty grim.
Said when we signed him it could take Brady most of this season to settle in and so bar the Chelsea free kick he has been woeful
Keep reading people saying we miss JBG but what has he done when he has played? He looks a Joe average championship player to me
