If the other teams keep losing and can't get as many points as we already have (I know it won't happen) then we will have performed sufficiently on the pitch to bring in enough points and stay up?

Teams play each other (and 6 points can't be gained), so if we win - forget it - we've won.

If we win plenty of us still look at the league and other results.
You can teach kids whatever you want, but me and my kids keep an eye on all the scores regardless of how we do....
Its natural to do so.

Even if we were sat comfortable in higher mid I'd be checking results and looking at the whole division.... even if its just a case of which grounds are closer for next season's away games or teams I have a soft spot for in comparison to others....

Worrying in general is a waste of time and effort and a danger to your health.

titsoutforthelads, don't worry. I have a wonderful girlfriend (she supports Bury so why would I worry?) and football doesn't make me feel low at all. I'm absolutely fine, I just like to give my thoughts on football related things. My point has never been don't ever look at other team's results. Any intelligent person would know that - it's purely that if we win, we win. There's no need to panic and look at the other results. We've done the best we can do. Now, if some don't understand that basic logic, that's not my problem.

First results i look for are a certain team down the road, ok not in our league but still them getting beat in their present position helps dull the pain if we don't get 3pts!

I'd guess he has created more chances, crossed the ball more and been far more positive than Boyd this season ( not a dig at Boyd )

You need pace on the break away from home to ease the pressure on the defence, win free kicks and throw ins.

Think he would be a better option away from home to get up the pitch quicker.

Our midfield on Saturday was so slow and 1 dimensional it was scary. Even a 20 yard pass looked complicated.

Boyd offered zero going both ways, time for a change from the start. Boyd would have been better coming on for the last 20 Saturday IMO.

Hi FactualF, I was informed earlier this evening that Burnley are 18/1 with SkyBet for relegation, longer than Watford at 15/1. A lot of teams on much shorter odds.

We aren't going down. We aren't in a relegation fight. Burnley are now playing for middle-table position. The higher we finish the bigger the financial rewards. Repeating what others have said, each position is worth £2 million. So, 5 places above 17th and we can think of it as another £10 million to spend on strengthening for next season.
