Interactive FA Cup 5th round results

Post by MDWat » Mon Mar 06, 2017 7:18 pm

Apologies for the delay. Manic at work.

The draw (that I forgot to post) was as follows:

Just to say, it doesn't matter when the draw is done. It's all done randomly using a random number generator and you all predict before the games. If anything, it might be better that it's done after although it's not as exciting. I'll be sure to post it up beforehand this time.

Anyway...

Jelly belly v burnmark
philh2004 v Oppycat
Dazzler v MACCA
Dublin7Claret v RalphCoatesComb
Murger v conyoviejo
catcatcher v Falcon
Andym26 v MrTopTier
Sarum v RammyClaret61

The results were:

Jelly belly 5-5 burnmark* burnmark wins on yellow card rule
philh2004 4-4 Oppycat** draw after yellow card rule, see below
Dazzler* 5-5 MACCA *dazzler wins on yellow card rule
Dublin7Claret 5-6 RalphCoatesComb
Murger* 5-5 conyoviejo *murger wins on yellow card rule
catcatcher 0-4 Falcon
Andym26 5-0 MrTopTier
Sarum 5-6 RammyClaret61

22 yellow in the round.

philh2004 predicted 21 yellows and Oppycat predicted 23. I can't really think of a way to separate the two. Anyone any good ideas? Tempted to put them both into the next round, whoever has the highest score wins between them two and their score is carried over to the game against their opponent?

Sure, works for me. But a bit harsh on person drawn against us as they effectively have to beat two people to progress. Maybe just toss a coin?

Still 3 people yet to make predictions so we could always jst take one of their spots if they don't predict in time.
