That was an outstanding video. An absolutely fabulous facility that must surely impress any prospective signing or parent looking for their child to sign for a progressive club.

Really impressed at the thought processes and research we've done into providing such amazing facilities for the players particularly but also for parents and the youth team. Done on an amazing budget too.

Love the fact that Captain Tom has gone to the players and put their input into the equation.

This is going to be absolutely amazing for the future for recruitment of players etc. and as stated from the video, this is the legacy from the first promotion in 2009 (the second promotion may have actually paid for it).

Really really proud.

Be interesting to see how it compares to other clubs in the area.

You'd hope we now have the best facility outside of the big four in Manchester and Liverpool

Good point, you'd have thought they would at least mention it. Does anybody know what is going to happen with the building in use now?

Perhaps that could, or will be refurbished into a media suite.

The media room is staying in the bungalow, although it will have a major refit in the summer.

Out of interest, why didn't they build a full size indoor 3G pitch? I understand it would have cost a bit more but surely having the ability to play full size games in there would have been worth the cost. Maybe a planning issue?

Facility in terms of looks yes however many clubs up north already have what we just built. We just caught up having had a bad few years.

Seems a bit silly having to go backwards and forwards across the bridge.

I was wondering what was needed for cat 1. I was assuming a full size indoor pitch. Seems odd to go to all that trouble and not build a full size one. Planning issue must be the problem.

Believe the new indoor area meets Cat1 and Cat2 requirements.

From some info I got, we won't be looking to go CAT1 for quite some time anyway due to staffing requirements so it shouldn't make a difference.

That's exactly it. The facilities will meet Cat1 standard should we decide to go down that route in the future, but the cost of running a Cat1 compared to running a Cat2 is significant. We now have a training facility to be proud of, and that can only be good news when it comes to player recruitment.

I recall being awestruck as a small boy in the late 60s going to Gawthorpe with the Junior Clarets on summer evenings. Clearly, it was still a relatively new facility then and state-of-the-art for the time.
But this is just as impressive - even for a cynical 60-year-old !
I hope, like others, that we're close to the standards of the very best - but the club certainly appears to have got a lot of value for £11 million !
It's the Burnley way.

Had a look down there today - beautiful sunny day and place looks incredible.

The changing rooms on that video look like Wembley.

It's the right time to be a Burnley player and a Burnley fan.

Looking at Sean on that clip, he too looked pleased and proud of the way the club has developed.
Credit to ALL at the club (and those off site who facilitated this development- NT, planning departments etc)

I am well impressed with that place. I'll probably never see the place close up, it just knowing we have it, and our players and kids are looked after fills me with pride. I'm really pleased with that investment. And it will definitely help us bring players to the club. After all, it's their place of work. The stadium is just for Saturday's.
