As soon as 1 min added time showed up, it was pretty obvious what the next thing to happen would be.

Its a real frailty in this team, and call me lily livered, negative, pessemistic or whatever you want - I firmly believe that despite having been the better team we are now looking at 3 or 4-1.

Massively disappointing, as if we had got to half time (just for once) perhaps we might have finally had a chance.

Liverpool have been terrible really, shocked by a Burnley turn up. Didn't want to concede before halftime (we always see to concede in injury time) but keep the faith.

Liverpool's inconstancy will be our benefit. A quick counter from from us and it can all change.

Keep the faith Jeez
We have faith that the usual will happen. And it will happen. And it has already happened.

So we are keeping the faith alright!

FFS..hard to take that is, after a great first half by us..
The ref is a pryck ( yes another one)
Well played Ashley Barnes..

In the last two mins of the half ESPECIALLY work your nuts off to keep the ball out of our penalty area..spoil spoil spoil...happens too often.

Redknapp right with us..
Sooo frustrating.

Trying to be positive, most of us would have taken a level scoreline at HT before the game. I really hope we get at the 2nd half and show some courage. It's not enough to just lump it up and hope they don't score. We need to get at them and give them a game. We can score goals past this lot.

We started brilliantly but instead of growing in confidence, the calm and well placed balls in the channels became more and more aimless.

Why can't we keep the ******* ball for 30 seconds?
How many times must this happen?

Liverpool one shot on target (and one goal). If that's got a Liverpool win written all over it then?!?

1-1 everything to play for. A gritted 45 mins to come.

I don't know how people step outside their door in the morning with the fear of the world which awaits them

Agree with this. We basically accepted our lot once we got the early goal.

Played v well to begin with and need to get at that defence. I think we will invite them onto us though and use more aimless balls. I expect we will lose this say 3-1.

If Dyche doesn't drill that into the players at half time it's a poor do. Forget the crappy long ball shite where it always gets us a defeat away, play the channels, use Gray's pace and use the space.

Every team in the WORLD puts it deep in the other half to defend a lead, whether HT or FT.
Why have our boys not been told this?
They turn to statues when that board goes up. We had 3 chances to get it deep, from the halfway line, with 30 seconds to go.
This frailty has cost us at least 10 points this season.

Unfortunately Ben has made a lot of errors which have led to goals at key times. We still have a chance today but unlikely. I'm just grateful that few of those errors have been at home (suggesting it is mental weakness). His performances may still be good enough overall to see us comfortably stay up though, hopefully.

I don't see how anyone can blame Ben Mee for that goal --it was just a bit of luck that Wijnaldum had after Mee blocked his original mis-control

Great insight on the NSCSN sports stream on how the early runs by Gray turning their high defence meant they sat back leaving a big hole in midfield which Lowton utilised to set up Barnes - really effective use of tactics to force a change in play that not everyone in red was aware of. Our exploitation was first class.

I'd take it at the end right now.
