Next seasons ST's
Does anyone know when last seasons payments stop and next seasons start?
I know the price is the same but unsure when we started paying for last years and I have four on my account but have made a slight change this season.
Thanks

March is last payment, April is first. It just runs as a constant direct debit

Re: Next seasons ST's
Sorted thanks. And yes 25th is stupid. Everyone I know who gets paid monthly gets paid on the last day. I know it shouldn't matter either way but it just makes things easier for all concerned. Every single DD I have comes out on the 1st of the month except this one.

If you asked you should be able to get it changed - thought that was an option with DD

It won't be the clubs fault - CT will be along shortly to tell us how it's the fault of some Nigerian banker who runs the show and that we should all be thankful for that in this day and age we can pay by direct debit.......Chester Perry wrote:Well that is crap from the club then - never heard of such an approach before
I just pay mine off when I get it as I find it easier that way but got a lot of friends who complain about the date of the payments taken out.

Always one who wants to make an unnecessary comment I suppose.bfccrazy wrote:It won't be the clubs fault - CT will be along shortly to tell us how it's the fault of some Nigerian banker who runs the show and that we should all be thankful for that in this day and age we can pay by direct debit.......

I think it was all explained by the club last year as it happens. Not sure how they could take the payments out on 1st April when people were still signing up for the direct debit on the previous afternoon, 31st March. I've not worked in banking but I would assume it takes time to set up the direct debits so I can understand why a later date was chosen.

It can take up to 2 weeks to set up a direct debit I think, maybe slightly less.
They've randomly chosen that date though, or someone at the bank has.
I've had a similar argument with Santander, where they give me 4 options of date for my DD, but none were really ideal.

Re: Next seasons ST's
The initial set up might be a ball ache, but most places will let you amend afterwards to a more suitable date. Thats how I have managed to align all but one DD!
Re: Next seasons ST's
In that case, they should take the April payments on the 1st May.ClaretTony wrote:Always one who wants to make an unnecessary comment I suppose.

Almost everywhere that takes regular direct debit payments gives the customer the option of which date the payment is taken.

Maybe, save up for April's payment before it gets withdrawn. Just a thought.

Massive system and process changes for some companies to move to and DD date. A lot offer a few different dates across the month and yes, some offer any date.
I'm not sure why from Burnley's perspective they couldn't offer any date, it's a new system and process and I'd have thought could have and could still be easily implemented.

Re: Next seasons ST's
Do we think that money is required on 25th so that players/staff can be paid on 26th? Not the 1st team, of course, but some of the youth squad and backroom staff?DCWat wrote:Massive system and process changes for some companies to move to and DD date. It will take a bit of time to set up a DD payment system - biggest issue is the bank's promise to repay if there's an error, so the bank needs to worry about how they will recover this money from the recipient. Once the system is set up it's straightforward to process new payments for collection, and, if required, amounts can be varied month to month (or whatever intervals apply).
I'm sure many of us have got mobile phones on contract - and settle the monthly charges by DD - and not always the same amount each month.

Re: Next seasons ST's
If we are collecting season ticket DDs on 25th, so staff can be paid on 26th, I would suggest we're a bit more skint than the club are letting on !
