Yeah I did a few years back, nice place.
The club downstairs is just full of loose middle aged women if that's your bag?

It's like martholme Grange with manc accents.
Re: Bredbury Hall
I used to live just down the road in Romiley, and the lads at our cricket club loved the place.
Never saw the attraction, it's the kind of establishment they have a mid 90s dress code still, collar, trousers, shoes etc.
I bet they still sell Trophy Bitter and Martini Metz too.

I have the bad fortune to live in Stockport, all I can say about Bredbury Hall is don't forget your M&M's (i.e. Mullet & Moustache) stuck in the 80's like the whole town, but 21st century prices.

Re: Bredbury Hall
The dress code for the club is ridiculous!
Went to see a gig in Manchester and came back with the intention of going in the club. They refused me entry because I was wearing Converse so they offered me some size 12 winklepickers from lost property. I duly obliged despite being a size 8.

Re: Bredbury Hall
How does someone lose their size 12 shoes so that they duly end up in lost property?

Re: Bredbury Hall
Been there many times and it's Flares at weekends and pretty dull midweek. However the circular bar is open until everyone falls over and the midnight beef butty not to be missed. Rooms are like someone's poorly heated extension and massive car park is generously rutted with potholes. Place of legends mainly with sideburns.

Re: Bredbury Hall
As somebody who's never been can one of you elaborate slightly more about what exactly this place is? From reading the above it sounds fairly sordid/tacky but the name of the venue sounds so grandiose!

I hope midnight beef butty is a euphemism and not an actual beef butty.Shipclaret wrote:Been there many times and it's Flares at weekends and pretty dull midweek.
