Amazing courage to do that program. Much respect to him, he's doing a great job with those kids

I'm generally not a fan of celebrities using their fame to push a message. When it's something like this though, it can only be a good thing if it helps others and of course Rio and his family, to make sense of things and begin to live their lives again. What a good bloke Rio came across as.

You can have all the riches in the world but ultimately it means bugger all in the grand scheme.

A well made programme without being too sentimental.
It can't be easy having lost his wife at such a young age and trying to do the right thing by his children.
Hats off to the guy who lost his first wife through an horrific car accident then losing his baby girl from his second wife. I honestly don't know how some people cope.

Yes a good programme, can be nothing but helpful to other grieving widowers. All power to Rio for making it, hope he comes out well at the end sooner rather than later.

Really well made programme.

Puts things into perspective for sure.

Good on Rio for agreeing to do it and seemed like making the programme definitely helped his grieving process.

We put footballers on a pedestal, I think we forget they are human beings with feelings. What a lovely fella Rio is.

Very good programme. Rio needs to let go and find a new lady. He needs to find joy and live again. His kids need a dad who is full of happiness.

I was sat in my lounge, all alone, with just my picture of Mrs McL on the wall and cried with Rio. I felt his pain.

Very moving programme.

Just noticed all your thoughts. Many thanks everyone. Grief lasts, it seems and pops up in many unexpected moments and guises.
Appreciated.
