I do think Defour will probably be on the bench again but really missing JBG

We may never see Defour in action again, another European spare part, perhaps the club needs to leave the EU as well.

When you say 'we', you actually mean you don't you?

I've been to TM and seen him play, have you?

If you look at the facts concerning
Ulvestad - Didn't make it in the first team
Vossen - Not tough enough for a Dyche team
Hennings - Just not quite there at first teaM LEVEL
Defour - Exquisite footballer but can't play 90 mins and breaks down
JBG - seems injury prone
Facts are facts
Joey Barton is probably not as skilled as any of the above but he has a tough core and big heart they can't match
Shoot me but I agree with ablueclaret

Some are facts but others are just your opinion.

Good for you that you agree with maybe not seeing Defour again and the suggestion that the club shouldn't try getting any more players from Europe.

Halfwit at it again.
Defour contributed more than enough this season to hopefully see us safe.
JBG been unlucky with injuries but more than good enough at this level.
Signing foreign players is a gamble for any side because of so many culture factors involved.
Having problems with the odd foreign player isnt exclusive to Burnley.

The club is leaving the EU, Turf Moor is in the United Kingdom.

I hope to see Defour as often as possible' as I said he's an exquisite footballer, but he doesn't seem fit or robust enough for our requirements.

Correct these are my opinions, should have said the facts as I see them.

Yes I believe we should concentrate on British players.

Hendrick has struggled but has the physicality to make up for it, Brady may be the same with pace and fitness in his locker.

All the listed foreign players have not contributed enough IMO

Hoping Defour & JBG prove me wrong in time

You Call him a name in your 1st line
Your 2nd and 3rd lines are debatable
Your 4th and 5th seem to support his point
It seems a bit unnecessary to name call in response to his post as it has no content that warrants that, IMO.

Defour is the most technically gifted player we have seen in a Burnley shirt for years. It's a shame he got injured but I believe he will adapt and become a major player to us.
Some people on here are you quick to write him off.
're foreign signings in Stan's day players from Padiham rarely got selected !

Dean Marney is he foreign....oh heck that may not prove the foreign injury theory to be correct.....Vokes he must be foreign as he had one of them ABC or ACDC or whatever it is of the knee and Barnes and Danny Ings oh and JayRod the list of Burnley injury prone foreign players goes on and on.....perhaps only if you have an axe to grind and that axe is illogical. Get Defour on the pitch as soon as he is fit, he is technically one of the best to wear Claret and Blue. UTC

I fancy Defour has had quite enough of football here, he really doesn't fit the framework.
Yes he might see a bit of action before the end of the season probably from the bench, let's hope he isn't too ring rusty.
Show me the evidence that we sign great players from Europe or the rest of the world, we just don't have the resources to do so, so keep out of those markets unless we are buying young players for development.
The fact we pick up few players from Scotland Wales or Ireland nowadays is the big worry.

So Ablue's plan to ensure we have the best players possible for our squad is to ignore a far larger pool of players.

Perhaps a far wiser approach would be to learn from our experiences and continue to shop in a market that offers better value for money and some real talent, whilst still shopping locally!?

My 1st line was actually complimentary (given the endless negative drivel he writes)

2nd and 3rd line will be debateable because its a personal opinion.

4th and 5th dont support his point.because he sees foreign players as a "Burnley problem"

Arsenal have the worst injury record in the PL.

Top of that list is a certain Jack Wilshire with a number of years out injured once its all totted up.
2nd on their list is a foreign player, Eboue I think it was.

Meanwhile English players like Sturridge are far more injury prone then someone like Aguero.

Kompany is more injury prone then Mee.

Its just one of those things but to state it as being a problem unique to foreigners is just ******** at best.

JBG is about as injury-prone as Seamus Coleman. If they'd not been victims of horrific assaults, they'd both most likely be playing this weekend.
