I'd love that, a drum and choking thick smoke from bellends with flares.

The chanting and jumping up and down after around 4m 20sec is very good though.

You mean bell bottoms and flares . But then it was the seventies, you can't smoke in there now.

As good as the cfs has been we will struggle to ever replicate what they have these days on the continent.

Mmmmm... not the passion of watford v burnley but then others will disagree. When we played at wembley against stockport people behind were moaning about my kids waving flags. The germans have fantastic fans.

This was when I went to the belgrade derby in 2013. That was a quiet affair.

Good.

I wouldn't want to see half of that sh1te you see on the continent here.

There's nothing more spine tingling than non orchestrated, non flare waving and non drumming Burnley fans in full voice.

We just need it to happen more often.

However when you think that we have kids, women and older people going to the football and a less relaxed attitude on bellends being allowed into a ground with whatever they want , then you may understand why we don't replicate that flare sh1te and drumming.

Is it just me or does it all seem too regimented? I prefer the spontaneity that we see at English football personally.

You wouldnt..you would choose another stand....its all a matter of opinion but burnley fans reckon theyre some of the most vocal and passionate fans in england, but mostly all i hear a lot of the time is whose sh!te that day and get georgie off hes cra. And that can be heard in any seating area around the ground! Imo.

Some do some dont.

The germans dont stop singing throughout the game. Some of its orchestrated some of not but whatever it takes to get them going.

Generally they have a section where ll the ones who want to sing, shout, stand, wave flags and flares and the rest go elsewhere in 'normal' seats but still join in albeit more reserved.

Before we got the cfs back i was almost bored with the turf. Results aside its made it worth going back on.

Football to me is about more than the result and the performance. If it was purely about that I would have given up going on not long after I started.

They (partizan) had won the league 7 years running then lost it that season. This defeat pretty much confirmed it. So they set the Red star stadium alight.

Co-incidentally just put my Hansa Rostock t shirt in the loft tonight. Studied there in 2002 for a year, when FCH were in the Bundesliga I think so sad to see them in Div 3 now.

The crowd weren't as animated as that on the odd occasion when I went to watch them!

I understand.

I didn't go to places like Hartlepool, Barnet and Aldershot just for the footy. A Burnley win is important as is the day out, the crack and having a good sing song.

It's different now, and although I like that you're trying to get a bit of colour going with the flags and what not, we'll never be like German 3rd division fans or Serbian nutters because we have a vast range of people going to matches here.

A lot of them on the continent are 'allowed' to be stuck in the 70's or 80's, we aren't.

I agree. But would be good if we could be even if just our own little section. After all thats what most on the continent have. A dedicated section.

We need orchestration on the turf these days. And a drum. Its the only way to pace the singers. Its like they want to sing every song in a minute.

Orchestrate it without a drum or I will be in there bursting the bloody drum skin :)

A Burnley drummer and it'd be faster than Happy Hardcore volume 6 at the Turf!

Yes, very much so.

Since the new Longside the 'sections' have been block 3 upper (I think), lower Longside block 3 and now the Cricketfield.

We need it to carry on in the Cricketfield.

Ontario could beat the drum in his section while you lot could wave the flags and set the flares and do the vocals in the cfs.

Yep. Jhl has suffered with the opening of the cfs but the ground and the team has benefitted. Would be great to have the other segment and away fans sandwiched between jhl and our cfs fans.

Pink's coffee shop in Eindhoven is where we source the cake.

I never ever thought that cake could work like that, but it did.

So much so that my chum from Huddersfield slept in his garden in Geldrop.

To be fair to my Huddersfield chum it wasn't just cake that did him, it also involved a lot of Dommelsch, Hertog Jan and Oranjeboom.

You're assuming we could find one person in our lot that would not race the drum either. All we need is a drummer coordinating singing a song in a minute

Songs in a minute
We sing our songs in a minute
Songs in a miiiiiiiiiiinute
We sing our songs in a miiiiiiiiinute

I don't think any English team would have an atmosphere like that. When watching games on TV of other teams it's stands out that they sing about their own team and how proud they are of it. We sing about Blackburn far too much imho. I stand there and think 'ahh great. Another bastards song'

Its why they don't fill their grounds, in the main, because it's military style crews, so women, children, old folks and normal people are nowhere near that sort of show of testosterone. It's all orchestrated, but your word regimented is more accurate and lets face it there's maybe 1500 in there at tops with the no mans lands both bigger than the occupied section.

Lets face it there is probably 250 lads banned from the Turf for being a bit Rowdy whilst ******, more for worse, who would happily get that going and another 500 who attend in the CFS who would love that but aren't daft enough as they live for going on the Turf.
Our authorities crack down on any slightly over the top behavior, some places abroad the darker side of authorities support it and even encourage it.
how else do you sneak 50 flares 10 smoke bombs and 100 fire crackers into the game.

But they do sell out. Every one of them. And women and children do attend. They just sit elsewhere. In fact some of them get involved.

Freiburg here. They sell out. One end is the ultras. Then this end next to the away fans and their own ultras was plenty of women, children and even elderly who all get involved in a (slightly) more reserved way.

Inter Milan actually have women among their ultras.

I stand corrected mate, I know it's one of your passions met you at MK Dons with those lads were they Lithuanians, think they had a flag.
I suppose, you'd need to have an adults only section like you have a family stand.

I think a whole section of lads that used to populate the Longside have been alienated by the all seating and the match day prices but more so that the more sterile match day experience has made enjoying yourself or dare I say getting excited look like a public order offence and banning people for this has been a major factor.
Away from home away ends need tickets to be sold with regard to those who want to sit down, even if theres a no standing policy, and those that even if they are not allowed to stand up continually will jump up and stay up when we are attacking and get corners etc.

Oh look, no one died.

Yet they'd all be in prison today in England.

I get the "choose your stand" stuff. What I don't get are the people who chose to be behind the flag-wavers. I'd go nuts.

Who was it said recently on here that the view from the JHU was possibly the best in football? Because the view at Freiburg beats it hands down!
(There's a lot of fencing in that ground isn't there? Or is it just me?)
