Needs to realise that if a Spurs player falls on the floor (Dele Alli) it isn't an automatic free kick. You can still be fouled even if you don't hit the ground

I thought he had a decent game. As mentioned earlier, not really noticed during the game, so that's a positive.

Consistency was (like most refs) very poor indeed. Whether it's a foul or not should be based on the actions of the player committing the foul. But it isn't - it's based on the actions of the player who would like to think he's been fouled. If a player gets a bit of a touch, or if he feels the opponent is using his strength to shield the ball, he can fling himself sideways and roll over, and probably get the free kick. And if he doesn't fling himself sideways, will he get a free kick? Lick heck he will.

As good a performance as you're likely to see I thought. It wasn't a difficult game to referee though.

He gave a very odd decision in the first half. A spurs player was on the floor and the ball hit his arms, he then blew when spurs were in possession as the ball was with the player on the ground and gave a drop ball with spurs kicking it back to us. If it was a handball it should've been a free kick, if he had stoped play due to the injury the drop ball should've been the other way around as we weren't in possession when he blew, spurs technically were. If he thought no one was in possession of the ball it should've been a proper drop ball. I found it a very odd decision.

I think the only player who went down yesterday and won a soft free kick was Ashley Barnes. Only 15 free kicks in the entire game.

Disagree there, alli felt the slightest off touches then flung himself on the floor , pathetic from him.

If so, given the number of free kicks, Attwell didn't fall for it because he didn't give them.
