Youri Tielemens

Post by Newcastleclaret93 » Mon Apr 03, 2017 8:27 pm

Probably a massive long shot and will end up at a top top club.

But what a signing this kid could be for us in the summer.

Plays for Defours old team.
19 year old Belgian CM with 20 goals this season.

The Belgian version of Deli Alli.

Any other young hotshots Burnley should be looking at?

Filip Manojlovic. 20 years old. 6 foot 5. Excellent penalty stopper. Already played for his country and kept a clean sheet for serbia on his debut against usa.

Won the youth world cup beating brazil in the final.

Quick off his line and acrobatic for his size. Has played 20 games this season and at 20 already played around 100 including loans.

Granted the standard isnt amazing in the lower leagues 100 games is still good going and its where many talented players started.

Not saying he is one for now or even likely to happen but expect he will have a good career. A keepper at that age would learn a lot too from Robinson, Heaton and Mercer.

Well if he plays for defour she old team, and they know each other, it's a definite non starter.

True, Defour has had a turbulent start.
or Defour could highlight the benefits of the premier league and tell him it's a stepping stone club

Or I suppose it could work the other way. Defour encourages him to come over and join us as he's feeling a bit lonely and wants someone to natter to on Saturday afternoon.

His stamina is rubbish in FIFA 17! Good young player though.

He wouldn't get in the team even If he was better than what we have starting.

Was told about this lad by a Belgian chap on holiday about 3 years ago. He'd just broken into their first team, think he might even have been younger than when Lukaku burst onto the scene for them. The bloke said he's going to be a real gem, and judging by some of his goals this season I'd tend to agree with him. Scored two 30 yarders in one game, one with either foot.
He's got champions league experience and I believe he's been in full Belgium squads but sadly think he's destined for a bigger club than us.

I'm afraid I just can't see us getting a lad like Tielemens. I should think he's on the radar of all the usual suspects. I'd love to be wrong, mind.

It's like Chiesa at Fiorentina. He's only 19 but everyone will know him.

Believe the likes of Chelsea and city are after him. However I believe he has recently said that at this moment in time he is prioritising game time over finance.

Would love burnley to sign one or two young hotshots. Even if they just stayed for the season as a stepping stone

This guy is probably beyond us, world class in the making in my opinion. However I don't see why we can't attract top young players, we have the facilities and proven recent record of providing a platform to bigger moves.

Wage budget will increase too so they'd potentially be playing every week in the Premier League whilst being paid pretty well. 1 or 2 good seasons with us and they'll get a bigger club.

I'm not sure that any of these are realistic targets if I'm being totally honest.
