Ibrahim Ndong
Ibrahim Ndong
He was on it throughout todays match, for Sunderland, despite them being outgunned. Very skilful too. Only 22. 23 in June.
Given that Sunderland are leaving us, he must be worth a fee. Also Defoe when we lose Gray and Pickford will be on the move. We could lose heaton, so perhaps he might be on our shopping list, should that happen.
The rest they can keep!

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
We won't be losing Tom. He doesn't fit the modern demographic desired by the big clubs.
He's a very level-headed chap. He won't be agitating for a move. Enjoying himself more than ever in football, I'd suggest.

More clubs will be in for Pickford than Heaton during the summer

Good. Everybody else is replaceable. We'd struggle to get someone as good as Heaton if he left.

I can't see a bigger club than us wanting Gray.

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
Heaton doesn't suit the sweeper role for the foreign English clubs.
He does suit every other club though.
Unfortunately for them he'll still be a Burnley player next season.
Unless there was a big change in personnel then Gray going would be a bit of a disaster. He's our out ball and pace up top.
Not that I can see a queue for him in the summer.

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
People really underestimate Gray.
He works of less than scraps every single game. Yet he is still a 10 goal a season striker at this level. He's only 25 with bags of pace and power. He will end up somewhere like spurs or Everton.
If you play to his strengths he will score goals at any level.

That's quite a difference these days, years gone by and yes, similar clubs, but for now at least, Spurs are at a whole different level to Everton.

It is a fact that we shall lose a couple of players . The management will not remain armfolded . They promised that they will recruit some notable players from the continent .

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
Pickford is a prospect, certainly, but I notice his over confidence/desire to be England's answer to Manuel Neuer, quite frequently gets him in a spot of bother when he has the ball at his feet.
He seems to want to take an age to kick the ball and gets closed down quite often in the games I have seen, resulting in deflections for needless throw-ins in the Sunderland half.
Just an observation.

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
I'm not sure Gray will leave but he'll have his suitors. It's clear to see there's a proper Premier League striker tucked away there. Even though his touch isn't great and sure, there's room for improvement but in a team set up differently - he'd score more. Can imagine West Ham being interested for something like £20m. And they could do a lot worse than Gray.

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
West Ham were more than keen to sign him in January. Admittedly that's a panic timing for clubs desperate to avoid relegation but I would be surprised if he's not signed in the summer by someone in the PL and then he will be on his last pay day.Wokingclaret wrote:Defoe is on last pay day

Re: Ibrahim Ndong
West Ham were keen on signing several players in January but didn't seem that keen to pay 'going rate' prices for them. They were reluctant to pay Hull's asking price for Snodgrass until we had an 'offer' accepted. They also lost out on Hogan to Villa.the_fat_shearer wrote:West Ham were more than keen to sign him in January.
