Tried lots in Burnley and I'd say the Wok Place on Trafalgar is the best, does more than Chinese as well. If you're looking for the more Chip Shop style Chinese then the Ming Wo on Lyndhurst Rd.

Best in the area in my opinion is Good Fortune on Scotland Road in Nelson....and they deliver as well up to 3 miles.radius

The one up Rosehill was great, apparently the owners have left and its turned sh**e. I think its called Po Sang.

Does anyone have a link for the Double Dragon website or their online menu? I've had a Google, but cannot find a menu or website.

Iceland freezer cabinet has Chinese chicken curry and Special Fried Rice, among others,
for £1.50 each.
Pretty good, too.

I ordered from Fu Hua on Ridge Road last week, it was reasonably good. I always really liked Po Sang up Rosehill but I haven't been since the alleged owner change so couldn't comment on it currently.

Depending on where you live in Burnley, a 15 minute trip to Newchurch in Rossendale would be a worthwhile journey.
Jasmine House make great meals but their prawn toast is the best this side of the great divide.

Just smashed a Double Dragon.
Was extremely nice, and plenty left for supper and/or breakfast

Would a 'take away' 'sticky' not be a good idea?

Dobo in Brierfield used to be great a long time ago but not sure if it's still there now

Only ever had one take away in about 2years,, and less than 10 in 15 and that includes a chippy tea. No wonder the country is full of puddings eating all this sh!te food.

China Express would be my recommendation. It's situated on the opposite corner from where the Nelson Star Cycle Club used to be. I've used it for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed with its offerings

Just because people recommend a chinese doesnt mean they eat it all the time. Im glad you bothered to tell us your story.Top Claret wrote:Only ever had one take away in about 2years,, and less than 10 in 15 and that includes a chippy tea.
