Pressure on Sunday?

If both and hull and Swansea win it will leave hull 3pts behind us and Swansea 5pts.
Both have very winnable games and both at home with hull only failing to lose once at home under the new manager.
After all this we play united at home which will be difficult to get a result.

Premier league players are used to pressure so I wouldn't worry about it.

Just get behind the lads and crank the atmosphere up. We will sort them Salford boys reight out.

Swansea and Middlesbrough need championship form and we need to lose all of our 5 games for either of them to even remotely have a sniff of catching us I personally can't see any of these scenarios happening.

Pressure will be if we lose our next three games and both Hull and in particular Swansea
manage to pick up a couple of wins.
Swansea have three winnable games - Stoke and West Brom at home and Sunderland away but may also need to pick up a point
at MAn U and at home against Everton.
Even if they managed to do that and pick up 11 points we would need 3 points to be absolutely sure of staying up
but it may transpire that two or even one point may suffice.
Given our much better goal difference we're actually 7 points ahead of Hull and 9 ahead of Swansea.

So the pressure is really on them to start and continue winning.
Much prefer to be in our position then theirs. By far.

On the flip side I would rather play at home sunday after they have played their games.

Only two teams above united have beat us at home. in fact only two teams in the top half full stop!

People go on about hulls home record under Silva. What about our home record under Dyche?

Swansea haven't got three winnable games.

They couldn't beat Boro recently which should have been straight forward.

Also, if we were to go down from this point it would be the biggest relegation collapse since the Pl went to a 38 game season.

If Swansea lose on Saturday & we beat Man U Sunday we are safe barring a 18 goal swing in the last 4 games

It's why we have the magic numbers. No pressure.

8 points ahead of Swansea. We need to equal their results in 3 games, both 5 to play;
12 ahead of boro. We need to equal their results in 3 games, boro 6 to play.
15 ahead of sland. We need to equal their result 1 game. sland 6 to play.

I've gone with need to equal 3 games with boro, because their gd is closest. Can we really see them beating City, Chelsea and L'pool? If boro lose 2 of those 3 we are still above them if we lose all our last 5 games (unless we ship a lot of goals).

I'm still predicting that we will be mathematically confirmed to be playing Premier League next season after the Crystal Palace game.

Even if Swansea and Hull both win, I still think it's a no pressure game for us. We have already taken 5 more points from the top 6 than we were "entitled" to. Even if we lose, I'll be happy as long as the team selection and tactics are sensible, and the application on the day merit that of a Premier League side. We don't have to win this game. We can lose it. We just need to make sure we still have some momentum going into the final 4 games, and a good performance in defeat to a very good side shouldn't harm that.

I hope we do United spectacularly, 2 or 3 nil. Would really get rid of some of this boards dross. With this team nothing is impossible, in fact play as we did at Goodison and I wouldn't rule it out.

Not true. We've found many of our home games fairly straightforward this season.

But if that's not the same for Swansea it'll be a miracle for them to catch us. They've taken 1 pt from a possible 18 and some supporters think it's possible for them to suddenly take 9 points at least from their last 5 matches.

We'd be safe by now had the Keane penalty been given at home and the Llorente winner disallowed away. Both of which would have been the correct decision!!

We were awful away from home but the fact is their last goal shouldn't have stood. It's clear our penalty shouldn't have been given either but at least Swansea had time to react to it and turn the game around. Llorente's winner was pretty much the last kick of the game.

The home game wasn't that bad - it was just the first game of the season. I thought Barrow, Fer, Montero and Sigurdsson were just too good for us. I walked off that game thinking Swansea would finish mid table comfortably. The penalty we should have had would maybe have turned the result on it's head. We would almost certainly have got a draw which would see us on 37 and them on 26. What does Dyche say, something about small margins?!

I went to school in Salford for 7 years, living in North Manchester during that time. Believe me, there's more than the Irwell that separates the two cities.

Boro have a game in hand, but they still have City, Chelsea and Liverpool to play. Therefore it's unlikely that they'll pick up more than 9 points and that's taking things to the extreme. Surely we're going to finish above them and Sunderland now.

They've both got three points this weekend, and how many have we got? None. That's what I call a problem with our current form - if they get three points every day from now to the end of the season, and we don't get another point till doomsday, then we're sunk.

The worst possible thing tomorrow would be folk going on nervous and transmitting that to the team. They've been playing alright, get behind them and we are sound.

I fully expect us to win at least one of our remaining home games. Man U will be incredibly tough but West Brom are already safe and if West Ham are safe come the last match then I would expect them to roll over quite easily. Even if they are not safe, I think we are more than capable of beating them at home. Another three points should easily see us staying up.

I'd like Chelsea to win tonight.

Tottenham would be 8 points behind when they play Palace tomorrow night.

Now bare in mind they beat em 4.2 on Saturday, psychologically, that could help to deflate em.

This could help Palace and see another Big Sam victory.

Move in to Saturday and maybe palace and their fans, after last Sundays heroics at Anfield, think burnley are a formality, and a game that might be difficult to be up for.

I know there's a load of ifs buts and maybes. But at this stage of the season and our position, you've got to look for reasons to be cheerful !
