No, he might just keep them up which is great news as far as Rovers are concerned

Worst possible manager to appoint to be honest.
This is the kind of decision that could keep Rovers up.

Throwing cash at a ' name' again. Think this will end in tears one way or another. There's no way he'd have taken that job without being paid through the roof.
Re: Redknapp in at Birmingham
It's certainly the furthest north he's managed by a long chalk. I thought he was a bit of a homebird in that respect. Never straying too far from Sandbanks.

Re: Redknapp in at Birmingham
I wonder if it's dawned on whoever runs Brum now how bad a decision they made getting rid of Rowett? Probably not, they clearly don't have much common sense.
I've not seen if this is a permanent deal or an "until end of season" measure. I'm guessing the latter but who knows with the people in charge there.

If it gets them the one win they need to stay up it'll be money well spent.Blackrod wrote:Throwing cash at a ' name' again. Think this will end in tears one way or another. There's no way he'd have taken that job without being paid through the roof.

It must be short term, Redknapp has always struck me as a bloke who would break out in hives if he was away from the South East for more than 2 weeks.

Re: Redknapp in at Birmingham
Cotterill is his assistant.
Slightly better than it being kevin bloody bond as at least he can set up to defend.

Re: Redknapp in at Birmingham
As long as this appointment gives them a win, it takes them further to safety and piles more pressure on that little club down the road who once won something.
Re: Redknapp in at Birmingham
Comedy. Gold.
Obviously Rovers are still 99% my wish for relegation from the Championship, but I'll happily move 1% over to Redknapp; that'd be hilarious!!

Just how bad are Forest at the moment? They seem to have a slightly easier run in than Blackburn but are dropping quite dramatically.

Media darling loved by the press and tax avoiders everywhere.I can see why Steve C hitched onto this one.Harry will become director of football which of course involves lot of fact finding free hols and Cotts will be manager.

Re: Redknapp in at Birmingham
The sort of manager who could provide a quick boost, which is something they need.
On the other hand, it'll also turn the place into a media circus, which is something they probably don't.
