Re: Snooker
Jimmy Whites invite to this 40 year anniversary, lost in the post? Or is he there and I missed him?

Re: Snooker
Anybody watching? Fu just slammed in a century to go 10-10 with Robertson.
Re: Snooker
Yup, Fu just completely threw away this frame. Should be 11-10 Robbo in a moment. Momentum swing.

What drama and tension that was. Brilliant viewing.
Only Selby to face tomorrow after that Marco.

the luck Ding has had off his own and Ronnie's errors/kicks is unbelievable - fair result would be 4 - 4 after this session

He's an efficient ******* is Selby I'll give him that
Re: Snooker
The Selby affect imo
The patience of Ebdon, the safety of Higgins, the break building of Ronnie, the control in the balls of Allen.

Re: Snooker
very strange session from Ronnie - not catching any breaks - and Ding continues to be blessed as this morning - still he has taken his chances and good luck to him
Re: Snooker
Supposed to be a comedy right? Watched it last night, apart from a few funny moments, I found the portrayal of Alex Higgins quite harrowing.Goalposts wrote:just watched the rack pack film, brought back a lot of memories but sad in many ways

10 - 6 to Ding. We'll see if Ronnie is up for it tomorrow.

Re: Snooker
I'd like to see Ding win it this year, he's deserving of a world title. Aside from that, anyone apart from Selby, the self-absorbed O'Sullivan and the ole match fixer ("allegedly") from Wishaw. They can all bore off.
Hawkins as this year's Stuart Bingham ??

Re: Snooker
From the frames I saw he made at least 3 strange decisions. The shot with the rest with the red near the right cushion - a miss and he was always going to leave a shot for Ding. He attempted an optimistic double, with the risk of leaving Ding on, and he also conceded a frame with (I think) all colours still on the table and only needing 2 snookers. Yesterday, it was like he didn't really want to be there.Chester Perry wrote:very strange session from Ronnie - not catching any breaks - and Ding continues to be blessed as this morning - still he has taken his chances and good luck to him
Having said that, Ding played really well and deserves to be leading.

Crikey that was a poor miss. If Ding wins this frame I don't see any way back.
Re: Snooker
Been at The Crucible for the morning session and that Selby break was magnificent, only one winner.

Re: Snooker
StanBFC how would you compare being at the Crucible vs watching it on TV? Even though I only live about 40 minutes away, I'm yet to go, but fancy it for the experience. I've been to see the Premier League darts and other than the atmosphere, I found it actually better on tv as you get all the better angles and replays.

Re: Snooker
Think that 146 took about 7 minutes...what a player....Has anyone noticed that balding middle aged guy who stands behind the snooker table behind the pundits.....i think he has been there in the same position every single day and every session .
