Jimmy Whites invite to this 40 year anniversary, lost in the post? Or is he there and I missed him?

Could be a very close contest this evening and then there's Ronnie on tomorrow morning and evening.

Anybody watching? Fu just slammed in a century to go 10-10 with Robertson.

Yup, Fu just completely threw away this frame. Should be 11-10 Robbo in a moment. Momentum swing.

The Selby affect imo

The patience of Ebdon, the safety of Higgins, the break building of Ronnie, the control in the balls of Allen.

very strange session from Ronnie - not catching any breaks - and Ding continues to be blessed as this morning - still he has taken his chances and good luck to him

Supposed to be a comedy right? Watched it last night, apart from a few funny moments, I found the portrayal of Alex Higgins quite harrowing.

I'd like to see Ding win it this year, he's deserving of a world title. Aside from that, anyone apart from Selby, the self-absorbed O'Sullivan and the ole match fixer ("allegedly") from Wishaw. They can all bore off.

Hawkins as this year's Stuart Bingham ??

From the frames I saw he made at least 3 strange decisions. The shot with the rest with the red near the right cushion - a miss and he was always going to leave a shot for Ding. He attempted an optimistic double, with the risk of leaving Ding on, and he also conceded a frame with (I think) all colours still on the table and only needing 2 snookers. Yesterday, it was like he didn't really want to be there.

Having said that, Ding played really well and deserves to be leading.

StanBFC how would you compare being at the Crucible vs watching it on TV? Even though I only live about 40 minutes away, I'm yet to go, but fancy it for the experience. I've been to see the Premier League darts and other than the atmosphere, I found it actually better on tv as you get all the better angles and replays.

Think that 146 took about 7 minutes...what a player....Has anyone noticed that balding middle aged guy who stands behind the snooker table behind the pundits.....i think he has been there in the same position every single day and every session .
