One season wonder.

No, I don't think so.

Once he's mentally over his injury I think you'll see him fulfill all his potential. The patient way that he approaches batting reminds me so much of Geoff Boycott when he was starting out.

Has got off to a bad start admittedly, little has gone right for the lad since breaking his finger on England duty. Will come again. In any case the rest of the Lancs batting is hardly shining this morning.

Young lad let him learn. Stay away from the English way of building them up to knock them back down again.

Speaks volumes of the level of cricketing discussion on here now that people take my post seriously. I expect him to open for England throughout the next decade.

He's a class act and has shown the exact mentality and concentration levels required to be a successful test cricketer.

109 ao (Livingstone 68) I know you are supposed to wait until both teams have batted once, but that is **** poor

158- at close, so not the worst of days.
Liam Livingstone and Chanderpaul need to have brilliant seasons if we are to survive though.

You could always use a smiley next time. We're not all mind readers.

Flat track?

When Livingstone gets called up Lancs will be back in division two quicker than you can say "kolpak".

Need 3 wickets in 37 overs to win.

Some turnaround.

Yes to win from out for 109 in 1st innings is some achievement, 2 good innings from Davies and Livingstone, I presume, set it up for the bowlers.

Top of the League!

I went on Friday. To win by 164 runs after being all out for 109 in the first innings is remarkable.

On my way home from the Northern home of English cricket and a brilliant victory.

Second place in the CC table as I am typing this.

Agreed Bordeaux, nice to see the comments change and evolve over the course of the 4 days.
Lancs didn't have a prayer after the 1st innings but ....what do we know?

Clegghall - a strange game of cricket but a great second innings performance by Lancs.

My mate who for my sins sits next to me at the Turf each week, travels to all the away games with me and is a Lancs CCC member with me is in New York mid week this week so was missing today. I texted him the score at lunch and he sent one back saying it was going to be a draw so no need to bother with more scores. I sent him another text when Somerset went 4 down and he suddenly changed his mind and asked me to keep him posted.

Second place will do me for now.

Lancs batting a bit weak but with Chanderpaul, Davies and Livingstone showing early form plus Hameed to come, may well confound the critics. Lyth, Root and Bairstow have hardly set the season alight so far!

Ended up top scorer, 88, in Lancs score of 314 in their 50 overs.

After being 20 odd for 5, Somerset have absolutely annihilated Surrey. Incredible from van der Merwe.
