Clarets 40/1 with Paddy Power to be relegated

Post by paulatky » Sat Apr 22, 2017 6:21 pm

To all you unbelievers out there to help you relax why dont you have a £25 bet on Burnley to be relegated with Paddy Power at 40/1 which will net you a £1,000 to ease the pain of relegation.

To the canny ones out there you can make can make £63 for every £10 you stake using match betting completely risk free if Burnley are relegated.

If you have £2,000 you can afford to have tied up for s month you could make £315 on being being relegated completely risk free.

Bet365 had us at 50/1 before todays games, and now have us at 25/1. We're doomed !

10 pound bet + 3 free bets @ 10 pounds @ 40/1
Happy if we stay up and £10 down
Sad and £1600 up if we go down
It makes sense.

We Burnley fans will be the only ones betting on us to be relegated. The odds will start to drop and it will be interpreted as being more likely that we will be relegated.

Had a £25 insurance bet myself mind.

Placed £50 bet at 40/1 odds. So if we go down, I'll do my drinking on a cruise.

I wonder if there will be a cashout offer after this game. I expect our odds will surely drop to something like 30/1.

You think the bookies expected us to get anything out of this game?

I've never done this before and I can find various betting options, (outrights, bet-in-play??) etc but I can't find an actual bet on us to be relegated on any of those sites, how do I navigate to it? I've tried putting "relegation" in search but I can't find that 40-1 option anywhere, please can someone link it or tell me how to find it on the site :)

Most relegation markets will be suspended toght now whilst Palace match is in progress.

I tried to find the odds again on Skybet and it said the link no longer exists.

Palace winning at Anfield will have more of an effect on our relegation odds than our defeat to Man Utd.

I just got 26 to 1 with bet365 which I still think is mental odds.
With our form, manager and the way the other teams are playing we're as good as down, sad to say but I reckon it's money in the bank.

i actually think we will stay up ,

but ill have a punt on those odds all it takes is a injury or suspension to 1 or 2 players to make it a possibility

It's called a "hedge" if you place money on the position that is the opposite of the outcome you want. The City of London does it all the time.

Everyone who has bought ST for next season might want to hedge against it being for 23 games in Championship.

Just a passing thought, I wonder if Joey was hedging rather than betting?
