Re: Britt Assombalonga
Have a good time Beamish. I love a Eurocamp and I like Rome. A review on here would be good on your return. I'm heading to a Spanish Eurocamp in September but would like to try Italy next year. Great for the kids.

I'm shuddering at the thought, but EuroCamp sounds so much like a Euro Butlins!

I worked for eurocamp for one year and another year for canvas, both times based at Fiano Romano just on the outskirts of Rome. A 'fun job' after graduating before joining the real world. Loved every minute. Rome's an amazing place. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Plenty for the kids there too, if you're going to the same site.Pearcey wrote:Have a good time Beamish. The club shop have just enquired as to whether we can do a one off batch of letters 'a bit smaller' than the normal ones.

Havent you said something like this before about a potential incoming transfer and the club ordering extra lettering, the target name escapes me. Can anyone remember.Diesel wrote:The club shop have just enquired as to whether we can do a one off batch of letters 'a bit smaller' than the normal ones.

Re: Britt Assombalonga
I once went to Italy on a bus from Nelson with an ex girlfriend. (she wasn't an ex at the time, that would have been weird.)
Best holiday ever - Rome, Pisa, Sorrento, Lake Como, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium. From Nelson. You couldn't even catch a bus to Manchester from Nelson at the time I don't think.

Re: Britt Assombalonga
Yes, yes I have, you see my company supplies the Club shop (amongst others) with the letters that can be ironed on to the back of the replica shirts, you can get a good idea of potential new signings by the letters that they order.jsn4pe wrote:Havent you said something like this before about a potential incoming transfer and the club ordering extra lettering, the target name escapes me. For example when we bought Ings, they ordered a lot of S, G, I and N's.
The signing of Assombalonga would be great for business.

At Baggage Reclaim.
As for exchange rate, you'd have to ask Lady Beamish. She handles the Brass.

Looks to me like it's going to be Burnley, even our load rag is reporting it, mind you they've got an awful track record!

Odds are still 6/1 to Burnley, is it worth a cheeky punt?

Anybody under the age of 18 may struggle fitting his name on a shirt. Nothing other than the usual friend of a friend's, postman's mate down the pub job. But believe we are very interested and been given the nod to bid again as he wants Premiere League football.jedi_master wrote:What makes you believe that Macca? Whether or not that means we will, or even if we do and he chooses us or not is all guess work.
File under bullsh1t, and never be disappointed, but at them odds I'd stick 10 bob on.
Re: Britt Assombalonga
Used to be something like, 50p a letter, £1 for a number, then £2 for the leagues sleeve badges or something.wilks_bfc wrote:It is one price now but it certainly didn't use to be.

The reason I always used to get 9 on the back and not 10, as it was always an extra weeks pocket money or something silly.

Re: Britt Assombalonga
If we put a bid in we will be in the driving seat
Re: Britt Assombalonga
I've just stuck a fiver on him signing for us. Unfortunately, with my betting ability, that'll mean he'll sign for Boro within days.
Re: Britt Assombalonga
If it was cut and dry he would be doing his medical now at boro.
We are getting encouragement from somewhere
I think if we decide to bid a second time
We will be in driving seat offering premier league football.
Player seemingly wants premier football
But Watford and Huddersfield can offer that too
