Re: Let's have some perspective
We've done ok overall through the season by that same token people are right to be disappointed with Sunday's result people bang on about Utds rich vein of form unbeaten run etc. Mata & ibromovich were missing 2 players who were instrumental in that taking all that into consideration a pt really has to be a minimum requirement at home.

Re: Let's have some perspective
I think the way they did us 2-0 without breaking sweat was what has disappointed and actually worried most people. We've given every team, even the very top ones a real run for their money at home and been very competitive. We were even unlucky against Arsenal and City and everyone saw that, but Sunday we never troubled them and looked tired tbh and it's got folks thinking if we can't turn that round we could be in a lot of bother.

Re: Let's have some perspective
It was a master class by Mourinho on how to stop us, Fellaini was the man of the match for me. But the problem now is that Mourinho as created the blue print. My worry is especially for the remaining 2 home fixtures is that If other teams follow this , have we got a plan B?. I'm not sure we have.

I usually think that Fellaini is totally useless, but he played his role perfectly on Sunday.

I totally agree.ontario claret wrote:I usually think that Fellaini is totally useless, but he played his role perfectly on Sunday.
Re: Let's have some perspective
Fellaini is useless. It's only because he was marking a **** poor player in Barnes, that he was made to look a world beater.

If you think Martial was an inadequate reserve, then you and I have different views. Did you not think Martial on the day looked quite good?Jakubclaret wrote:We've done ok overall through the season by that same token people are right to be disappointed with Sunday's result people bang on about Utds rich vein of form unbeaten run etc. Mata & ibromovich were missing 2 players who were instrumental in that taking all that into consideration a pt really has to be a minimum requirement at home.
Remember we were missing influential players in Marney and Vokes, too. I hope that helps put it into perspective?

How do you think ManU feel about all that money they paid for Pogba. Didn't even notice him on Sunday.

Re: Let's have some perspective
I agree he was a good deputy. I just thought overall it was a missed opportunity in the grand scheme of things set out to stifle a draw wouldn't be beyond the realms. It's done now pointless looking back like I said earlier all this will be forgotten when we are mathematically safe & have a toast to a new fresh season.dsr wrote:If you think Martial was an inadequate reserve, then you and I have different views. Re: Let's have some perspective
There was no better time to play them, their players were absolutely shattered after an hour. I think I even saw De Gea slip into his slippers and pour himself a cocktail while reading a newspaper.Jakubclaret wrote:I agree he was a good deputy. he was the tall lad who dominated the midfield with a cigar on and nearly scored two goals.ontario claret wrote:How do you think ManU feel about all that money they paid for Pogba. Didn't even notice him on Sunday.

Re: Let's have some perspective
The idiot from Wiltshire thinks that SD has lost his perspective and become a tinkerer in the classic BL fashion.
He's not at ease with any other formation but 4-4-2 but has become unsettled with it, trying to squeeze those last vital points out of a tired system.
As the manager isn't for changing and it really is too late for that, then perhaps his best hope is the return of Arfield because he brings a more robust defensive performance which the framework is all about.
SD certainly has missed a trick or two this season and hasn't really progressed as a manager at least not as a tactician, but his efforts deserve success and two hard earned points should be sufficient.
Hopefully next season if he is still with us we will see a more expansive repertoire with a few more game changing players, but that would mean enhancing the framework.

Gazillions for a glorified defensive holding midfielder. (Pogba) Not my idea of money well spent, quoonbeatz.
