Re: Ref yesterday
Taylor was complete shite.Rooneys constant winging and Pogbas playacting and over the ball challenge were a disgrace.Barnes was kicked up and down yet got nothing.Taylor was inconsistent throughout.Pulling us up at every opportunity as yet another Man U player rolled around like theve been shot.

Re: Ref yesterday
Taylor might say that he's not a MUFC fan but how many United fans live in Altrincham? And how many Clarets live there?
And that doesn't affect how you will ref the game?
Hmm.....

Re: Ref yesterday
Doesn't matter who lives where - he has no allegiance to either Man U or Burnley - good referee or bad referee, such comments are actually questioning his integrity.Foulthrow wrote:Taylor might say that he's not a MUFC fan but how many United fans live in Altrincham? He can't be a United fan because he lives in the Manchester area and, according to most who post on here, there are no United fans living in Manchester and district.Foulthrow wrote:Taylor might say that he's not a MUFC fan but how many United fans live in Altrincham? Re: Ref yesterday
To be fair Tim, I commented to my mate that Gray looked offside but when the ref gave the free kick, I thought we'd got away with it, but then the lino flagged.

Re: Ref yesterday
biggest decision he had to make was when Barton fouled Rooney in the area. Clear penalty but he gave us the decision so he wasnt making a very good job being biased towards Utd if that was his plan

Re: Ref yesterday
Should have given Rooney a yellow for diving. His legs went about a second before Barton got anywhere near him.Devils_Advocate wrote:biggest decision he had to make was when Barton fouled Rooney in the area. He was another one all over the floor... loads of energy to get up whinging when the whistle didn't blow though. Typical Rooney. Typical Mourwhingio. Typical United.

Re: Ref yesterday
If that would have been a Utd player on Gray you would have a completely different opinion. No point discussing any further if you cannot see a clear foul just because it was committed by your own team

Re: Ref yesterday
MOTD showed every which way of Barton's tackle on Rooney, it was a clear penalty.

Re: Ref yesterday
The most biased ref I've seen all year, and that's saying a lot. If he was refereeing in Spain, he would be exclusively assigned to either Real Madrid or Barca.

Re: Ref yesterday
Joey's "foul" was only a foul if only you're a glory-seeker. He was clearly going down before he was even touched.

Re: Ref yesterday
We was up against it yesterday as it was the last thing we needed was a Ref from the greater Manchester area. Without questioning his integrity or where his allegiances lie or don't lie it wasn't the greatest of appointments bearing the geography in mind. When you live in a area you have to get on with the locals the best you can even if you still support a different football team.

Re: Ref yesterday
I thought he was fine as a ref on Sunday. However, his interpretation of Fellaini and Pogba's style of play really limited our game plan.ClaretTony wrote:Doesn't matter who lives where - he has no allegiance to either Man U or Burnley - good referee or bad referee, such comments are actually questioning his integrity.
Referee tonight at Newcastle is Andy Madley from Ossett.
But, yes, whether it is questioning his integrity or not there must be a human factor that makes him think - somewhere in the back of his mind - that it is easier to give a decision for United than Burnley. This factor is surely greater when you live in a town that a lot of people would class as Manchester.
Add to the fact that Taylor was on a few weeks ago admitting in a documentary that he had made a clanger in our game against Swansea (without any mention of Swansea's winning 'goal').
Did he really want to give us a decision that could have been wrong and have all those clips and his stag do brought up all again? You can bet your life Mourinho would have....

1960. Who won the league that year? It's somewhere in the back of my head.

tim noone, that's like saying a serial killer isn't so bad because he only was caught with the last one.
