Moyes Charged
In relation to his comments to Vicky Sparks.(BBC)
Re: Moyes Charged
And quite rightly so. In today's climate of political correctness, compensation, blame culture, do gooders, nothing celebrities(thanks to reality TV and internet media), drama queens, sexually equality, oversensitive people etc etc it's totally unacceptable.

Re: Moyes Charged
Charged by the FA, rather than the law isn't it?
What he said was wrong and insensitive but he was quickly apologetic. There are far worse things going on in football re "disrepute" in areas of financial shenanigans, dodgy owners, disrespect of officials etc.
Difficult for managers and players to be interviewed soon after a match when they are emotionally/physically more than a bit drained- should be given some leeway (or stop the interviews).

Re: Moyes Charged
Should be charged for failing to turn up against lowly Burnley. They never went for it or tried in the 1st half in a game they needed 3 points from whereas 1 point was a good result for us. No wonder he took it out on the BBC lass.

What an absolute farce our beloved FA are. If this is what it's coming to I wouldn't speak to any form of media just in case I accidentally upset 1 person in the entire universe.

I believe they now have to speak to the media after a game, or someone does.Goodclaret wrote:What an absolute farce our beloved FA are. If this is what it's coming to I wouldn't speak to any form of media just in case I accidentally upset 1 person in the entire universe.

Some people are too touchy by far and it makes me sick to the stomach to think that anything
can be construed as offensive by anyone, irrespective of whether they are involved or not.

Re: Moyes Charged
When is the FA going to make a stance against Sky and it's institutional sexism - only employing fit birds to go on telly? Not as easy as picking on an easy, wounded target I know, but it's about time these double standards were exposed!

Re: Moyes Charged
Yes, you are correct Sidney but it must cross their minds to give the most bland interview ever in case they upset some poor little darling. I know when SD puts sarcasm in his interviews he always quickly says "I'm joking" to ensure his words can't be twisted. It's a shame really as it does force "yes, we won, I'm happy" kind of answers.Sidney1st wrote:I believe they now have to speak to the media after a game, or someone does.

Re: Moyes Charged
That's a good point, we need a new 'Who's your favourite SSN female presenter', Redbeard created one on CM and it was interesting to see people's top 3.Guich wrote:When is the FA going to make a stance against Sky and it's institutional sexism - only employing fit birds to go on telly? You're right, and it was sexist bullying. if it'd been a male reporter I suspect it would have been rather more direct and expletive filled.NRC wrote:it was bullying... he wouldn't have said it in that tone to a male reporter

Re: Moyes Charged
The FA were always always gonna charge Moyes ,there would have been an hysterical righteous uproar from assorted easily offended women/sportswomen/lesbians and the BBC in general.
Evidently Clare Balding was so shocked after hearing it she " immediately went for a large poo"
It was a silly comment but no malice at all,but in this day and age you're dealing with people who just cannot find it within themselves to let this type of thing go.
