Heaton 9
Lowton 9
Ward 8 (only because he went off at half time otherwise probably a 9)
Tarks 10 because that was his first start in the prem MOM
Keane 9
Arfield 8
Boyd 8
Hendrick 8
Westwood 9 edges the other midfielders for me as he's still relatively new in starts to our system
Vokes 8
Barnes 8 I have been quite critical of him of late but today he was superb

Gray 8 what a finish and put a shift in straight away
Forgot: Flano 8

Lowton 8
Keane 9
Tarks 9
Ward 8
Boyd 8
Westwood 8
Hendrick 7
Arfield 7
Vokes 9
Barnes 9 (MoM). Just pipped Sam for MoM. Both gave a brilliant display of how to hold a ball up today.

Flan 7
Can't mark Andre, but took his goal very, very well. Good time to score too. Saved the stubs of my nails.

Great day for Clarets.

What a contrast to last week. Team selection and tactics spot on.

Heaton 8 - a couple of top quality saves
Lowton 8 - really stuck at the job
Tarks 9 - some superb defending and cool in possession
Keane - 8 - immense at times
Ward 9 - thought he had an incredible first half and no disrespect to his replacement but Ward going off allowed Palace to get forward in the second half
Boyd 8 - excellent defensively and what a pass to Gray
Hendrick 8 - very tidy today
Westwood 9 - very effective and made us look very dangerous today
Arfield 8 - perhaps his best game this season
Vokes 9 - immense today, like Arfield perhaps his best game of the season
Barnes 8 - some tremendous play at times, a little lucky with the goal
Flanagan 7 - thought he was a little exposed at times and different offer the threat going forward that Ward has which allowed palace to come into the game

Heaton 8 Couple of good saves
Lowton 8 very solid
Keane 9 Benteke in his pocket
Tarks 9 As above, great debut, calm passes a couple of times under pressure
Ward 8 solid and good cross for the goal
Boyd 7 Endless work and great pass
Westwood 8 great work breaking things up and winning second balls
Hendrix 8 as above
Arfield 6 Good work defensively but our attacks broke down numerous times because of him
Vokes 9 Tireless work and good aggression today
Barnes 9 A bit lucky with the goal but made it with the run. As Vokes excellent hold up play

Flanagan 7 Lucky not to give away a penalty but otherwise solid.

Gray no rating but great run and finish. Hopefully will boost his confidence.

Dyche 10 Worried when I saw the team selection. Never been more pleased to be proved wrong. Pretty direct today, but pressed high, won second balls, worked non stop and created chances. Don't mind that style when we play it like that. Tactics and team selection worked to perfection today.

Everyone 10/10

Thought the tactics also were spot on. Airfield starting gave our full backs far more support that was needed today. Can see Brady back in next week.

All 10's for me watching from behind the sofa in Devon. Best away performance in yonks. End of. I am THE most pessimistic Burnley fan of 50 years standing but even I would not have stooped as low as some of the shoite spouted when the team was announced (although I took a sharp intake of breath
when I saw it) but I know nothing about managing a premier league side and neither do you doubters.

PS Special mention for Flanagan. Not perfect by any means but loads of character replacing a huge player for us and to me showed loads of heart if not skill.

Heaton 10 - one worldly save at a critical point
Lowton 9
Ward 9
Tarka 10 - motm
Keane 9
Arfield 10 - what a player
Boyd 10 - everywhere
Westwood - 10 - comfortable
Hendrick - 9
Barnes - 9 amazing first half, unlucky not to have a hat Rich
Vokes - 9 a menace
Gray - 9 a not enough minutes probably but what a goal
Flanagan - 10 kept Zahaha on the periphery

Epitomised everything good about Burnley today. Our familiar heroes Boyd and Arfield came to the fore. Tarka put a wall up against Benteke, Westwood a more than adequate replacement for Joey, the much maligned Flanagan was outstanding, and I'm one happy bunny. UTC.

Heaton - 9 a handful of tremendous saves. If he isn't in the team of the year then something is wrong.

Ward - 9 our most creative player. Worked tirelessly. Hope he isn't out for too long
Keane - 9 faultless
Tarkowski - 9 handled Benteke like a seasoned pro
Lowton - 8 solid

Arfield - 8 world hard and linked up well.
Westwood - 8 as above. Retained the ball well
Hendrick - 8 thought he was quiet v United but had a good one today
Boyd - 9 THAT PASS. Solid game but gets an extra point for that exquisite pass to Gray.

Barnes - 9* flawless. Held up the ball well, Mae some good runs. Him and Vokes worked very well together. Two scruffy goals, second one rightly ruled out. Mr Burnley.
Vokes - 8 wanted him to score so badly but just ballsed up that touch. Linked well and would have bagged on another day.

Flanagan - 8 arguably his best performance. I was worried when he came on but he slotted in well and helped contain Zaha.

Gray - 8 came on, scored a good goal, what more do you want

Dyche - 10. I slated him for that lineup but he's just a f*cking genius.

Like almost everybody else, really not happy with the line up but what a performance from start to finish.

Defended well, broke well, created the clearest chances and we've got that away monkey off our back. As bad as Barnes was last week, he was sensational this week, but the whole team where just as good behind him.

39 points, three games to go, and we are almost there

Heaton 8 - one great save and solid throughout
Lowton 8 - been in exceptional form since Xmas
Keane 9 - he's going to go for a hell of a lot of money in the summer, and boy, does he deserve it
Tarkowski 9 - flawless on his starting debut.
Ward 8 - hope he's not out for long
Boyd 8 - worked hard, and a peach of a pass for our 2nd
Westwood 9 - I was really concerned that we'd miss Barton, but what a performance in using the ball.
Hendrick 8 - very good as well
Arfield 8 - the scotty arfield that we all know and love
Vokes 8 - linked up well with Barnes, and probably should have scored
Barnes 9* - easily his best performance for us, completely bullied the Palace back lines

Subs
Gray 8 - bang, what a finish
Flanagan 8 - much better than last time we saw him

It feels so good to get that away win, now lets see how far we can finish up that table

Heaton - 7 - two decent saves, caught in no mans land a couple of times although im not sure he'd have fouled Zaha had the lino's flag not gone up. Largely untroubled it must be said.

Lowton - 8 - very solid defensively, found the time to produce a couple of fine crosses.

Ward - 8 - a huge factor in the first half when he neutralised Zaha and exploited his laziness to be a massive factor in attack.

Keane - 9 - terrific.

Tarkowski - 9 - terrific.

Westwood - 9 - moved the ball quicker than Barton has done and that was a key difference in the first half. Also buzzed about dynamically in defence. I argued for Joey to be dropped 2 weeks ago and i think Barton's suspension may have done Dyche a favour in the end.

Hendrick - 8 - his all round, roving midfield contribution should not be under estimated.

Boyd - 7 - generally solid and reliable, and then produced a pace of the highest quality.

Arfield - 8 - slightly surprised he started, but supremely discipined and used the ball with all the canniness that makes him a Dyche favourite. Excellent deadballs too.

Barnes - 8 - slightly fortunate with the first touch for his goal but finished decisively, and generally niggled Palace with his link up game.

Vokes - 8 - bullied Palace around the edge of the box, but probably should have scored at least 1 goal from 3 very presentable chances.

Flanagan - 7 - lived on the edge a bit, but hugely diligent and committed, which as an under played loan player is very much to his credit.

Gray - 7 - no huge involvement apart from his goal, but took it beautifully.

Well, this one was for Dyche, who proved his growing, slightly hysterical cohort of doubters wrong with a team selection which reminded us all Iof the importance of trusting in what you know.

There have been team suggestions on here all week devoted to the idea of Defour threading balls in to Gray, without giving the slightest thought to how to build a platform for that in the first place. This win was rooted in the platform Gray and Vokes gave us - we played the diagonal balls on which we've based on our build up play under Dyche, more often than not won the first ball and then backed up the play to get us field position and create chances.

It was terrific to see the maligned trio of Barnes, Boyd and Arfield central to our success, whilst Vokes and Westwood also provided a reminder that they are fine players with lots to offer. This was a fine, deserved burnley win - and the culmination of a pretty good couple of months away from home.

With our record against teams outside the elite - record this year: won 4, drawn 3, lost 2 - the team should be aiming for a top 10 finish right now. Quite remarkably given the last week's handwringing, its not out of reach.

I thought it was a negative line up but happy to eat humble pie. We wanted it and we put in a performance that remixed me of our championship runner up season particularly from the likes of Arfield.

Can't mark it because I didn't see the whole thing, just some of it, but in general it shows we are such a decent side it makes you wonder why we weren't this ambitious (all be it a bit agricultural) against Sunderland, Boro, Swansea and Hull. We would have taken them to the cleaners. This was the way we play against the top 7 away, which against the lesser sides can get results.

Absolutely outstanding.

Heaton 8 -Two sharp saves at critical times, consistent handling and distribution throughout.
Lowton 8 - Rock solid defending against a decent opponent. This lad's been great since Christmas.
Ward 9- Same as Lowton with an additional point for assist.
Keane 9 - England center forward for years to come; shame it will probably be for someone else.
Tarkowski 9 - Seamlessly stepped into Mee's shoes. Can't be easy to be a sub all year then face Benteke.
Arfield 8 - Terrific work rate and excellent on set pieces.
Boyd 8 - Terrific work rate and visionary ball to Gray for the second.
Westwood 9* MoM - Looked like Michael Carrick was playing for us.
Hendrick 8 Great foil for Carrick and kept the midfield ticking over.
Barnes 9 - Wonderful center forward play, ruffled Palace feathers all afternoon.
Vokes 8- Excellent foil for Barnes, (or vice versa). Also played a fine defensive role with their corners.
Flanagan 7- Was worried when he came on. Needlessly. Unlike others on here, I think with a Dyche pre-season, he could be a big asset to us.

Watch the game from a bar in Teneriffe with a few more clarets. An outstanding team performance but I thought Tarkowski had an excellent game. This was Tarkowski 1st full game since joining the club and he was very composed and handled the pressure.
I thought Westwell was unfortunately to lose his place to Barton and he to was excellent along with Arfield.
Hendrick looks better without Barton, he had his best game in months

Gray N/A but 10 just for that champagne moment!!

It's so easy to just dish out ridiculously high scores when we win and rubbish scores when we lose and I agree we have to be more measured about it. BUT yesterday we were very, very good. Yes Palace have a few key injuries, but then so do we and we coped with ours far better and played brilliantly to a man. Arfield for example was a like a man back from the wilderness and Westwood did exactly what Barton was doing, but ten years ago. Not the biggest away day following we have had by any means, but those who were there were magnificent too and showed the faith to stick with it and when Gray's shot hit the back of the net you could feel ALL the away game frustrations pour out of the fans!! WE WAS THERE!!
Oh, and well done SD for subbing Barnes (who was superb) at just the right time.

A fantastic team performance. Wardy was mom first half and would probably have taken it if not for the injury. I do hope he's alright.

Heaton 10 - Brilliant save from Delaney, need to keep Tom and refuse any bids in the summer 10

Lowton 7- Had a decent game good help from Arfield protecting him from Zara and Townsend. One good cross for Vokes which should have hit the target, definitely improving.

Ward 9- Great assist, Brady needs to study some videos of his attacking play as its what he should be doing if he gets back into the side.

Keane 9- Untroubled by Benteke and co, class act, could we keep him? We should try to, might need to break the wage structure though!

Tarkowski 9- won everything in the air, had Benteke in his pocket all match, competed every ball and won the battle with him. Should be starting next game now on merit, should be adding a few more years on his contract soon!

Westwood 8 played some excellent long passes and no mistakes, Barton's ban came at a good time as his performances had dropped off. Hopefully Westwood can play like this for the last three games and get his BFC career going.

Hendrick 8 - Solid good short passing, did his job well.

Boyd 8 - Did his usual hard running and excellent assist, need at least one more year from this guy.

Arfield 8 - Rightly got stick a few games ago but he rolled back the years with this display, did a good defensive job and set pieces were ok, not in Brady territory but decent non the less. Did a lot of hard work tracking back like Boyd.

Vokes 8 - Best game for ages was a great turn for his chance and was unlucky he overran it. Still need to recruit the next star striker in the summer as we can push further up the table.

Barnes 8 - Had a great game, need to see more of these performances from Ashley.

Gray 8 - right sub at right time, glad we finally gave him a through ball down the middle for him. The lads should be doing this all week in training, hopefully we will see a few more goals from Gray before the season is out. As long as he only has to shoot when he's through he's pretty likely to score, we need to make it super simple for him.

Flanagan 8 - Did well, would have been a harsh pen, Zaha theatrics did him no favours.

Well done to the whole management team as it sounded like Dyche took a lot of advice for this win. I really hope we have turned the corner with our style of football as most away games this season have been unwatchable.

If we're going to play like this every week then that is definitely the way forward.

Heaton 7. Did he really have much to do apart from 2 saves?
Lowton 8. Steady Eddie game has become his forte.
Ward 8. Unfortunate he had to go off when he was working so hard at both ends of the pitch.
Keane 9. International class performance. Put another 5M on his value.
Tarkowski 9. MOM Between them, Tarkowski and Keane were so good that Benteke was hooked.
Boyd 8. Usual shift and pass off the season.
Westwood 8. A key performer in midfield. Joey who?
Hendrick 8. Like Westwood, helped to win a lot of the midfield battles.
Airfield 8. Some great balls in from set plays, something we haven't seen enough of this season.
Barnes 9. Unlucky with the hand ball.
Vokes 8. Should scored at least once but great game alongside Ash.
Flanagan 7. Some unnecessary comments about him on another thread, but I thought he did a decent under the circumstances.

Totally bossed that game. First to every second ball and wave after wave of attacks. MOTD must have edited a different game because they contrived to make us look like plucky winners against the odds
