Re: Westwood
Totally agree. One swallow though and all that but very encouraging. The marked improvement in Boyds game has been helped massively too. No longer having to chase balls. His link up play with Ward at times today was a joy to watch. This I feel is because of Westwood retaining the ball a little longer than Barton or Marney would allowing the two to get closer

Kudos to the FA for helping finally get him in our starting 11

Don't think he ever gives the ball away. Some lovely one touch, first time passing which allows us to keep the tempo up.
Re: Westwood
He's the player a number of our fans thought Jones was

In fairness to Westwood it's not QUITE one swallow... because he was superb last week too.

Re: Westwood
Waste of money. He got relegated with Aston Villa. Couldn't even get in their team.

A bit like Heaton at Bristol City then?HelloHiGoodbye wrote:Waste of money. He got relegated with Aston Villa. Couldn't even get in their team.
Re: Westwood
Villa fans ran a lottery to see who got to drive him here. They must of had some team if him and Lowts were surplus to requirements

Re: Westwood
Really impressive. Moved the ball crisply and decisively, found clever angles and made the cute look very simple at times, whilst also playing the easy ball when needed. Also very tidy and organised defensively and could be seen doing plenty of talking and organising.
Also thought he and Hendrick seemed to have a very nice and instinctive understanding, which augurs really well for next season.

Re: Westwood
I think most of us were unsure about Hendrick and Westwood, both look more than capable

Re: Westwood
Shocking the talent they could have had. Ciaran Clark player of the year winner for Newcastle. Albrichton at Leiecester. Delfounso earning £100 a week at Blackpool.Damo wrote:Villa fans ran a lottery to see who got to drive him here. They must of had some team if him and Lowts were surplus to requirements

Re: Westwood
Another astute signing who will surely improve even more as he settles into things.
Great capture. Well done, all concerned.

Re: Westwood
Another good game. Was unlucky to lose his spot in the first place. Hendrick has also stepped up a gear playing with him.

I was impressed with him yesterday, we might just have got ourselves a good player.
