When jack died..

Post by Saxoman » Sat May 06, 2017 8:12 pm

There were claret shirts tied to the fence at ewood park. Blackburn is still his club. Don't wish it gone forever. That is all.

Get stuffed. For the real fans, I feel some sympathy.
For the plastics such as yourself, I have none and wish nothing but ill towards your stinking carcase of a club.

And Blackburn still isn't his club. His family saw to that. It was his for a relatively short period of its history.

If you get relegated tomorrow you go to League One. Hardly the end of the world. Yet again b@stsrds drama queenery at its finest. The best thing Rovers fans can do is man up instead of whining like kids all the time.

Somewhat desperate to link the death of a benefactor in the hope of some solidarity from us. It's a game, not life and death, it's not more important...... and I hope you get stuffed tomoz.

A contractor I use A real proper pre Jack bstards fan told me he was at a do when Walker said forget Man U our rivals will always be Burnley. Same contractor also had no time for him as on his way to the top Walker actually bankrupted a lifelong friend over a steel deal. Tax dodging charlatan.

If the fans hadn't made Ewood such a poisonous place during the time Kean was manager in the Premier League they probably would have stayed up in 2011/12, that ingenious plan worked a treat didn't it?

I was in KFC with my kids on thurs, and the bloke next to me laughed when a lad in a rovers shirt walked in.

Turned out he was a PNE who couldn't wait for Rovers to go down because he remembers what they were like when they were top dogs.

I've got to be honest Saxo, I don't think you'll be missed.

When ajack Walker died I was sad. I was sad for the man and his family. I wasn't, however, sad for Rovers, or what he'd achieved with his personal wealth, and neither was I sad with what he'd left; a legacy of debt and an animal you'd couldn't feed.

Do I want Blackburn liquidated? I don't think so. I like the rivalry too much.

Do I want Blackburn to suffer? Absolutely. I want Rovers to feel everything our fans had to go through, and to get a grip on reality, understanding you can't just buy success and expect it to last forever.

Would I care if Rovers went bust? I'd waste about half hour thinking about it over brew, then wonder how excited Accy's Directors will be about growing their crowds by 500-1,000 every game.

I actually have nothing against the team at all. I couldn't care less. But once upon a time I was part of an MBO/MBI of a company of which I became a director. The company did good business with a very well known WW company with relatively local presence in the Lanacashire area, currently merging with a major competitor.Turns out the buyer was a putard, but I didn't know this. He asked me if I was a soccer fan and of whom, so I told him. He withdrew the account on that alone.

How frikkin pathetic.

I genuinely hope all you stay-awayers get your wishes, the Venkys depart and you get back to watching your lot. You deserve it. Except it will be in the depths of the lower divisions.

Must be weird being a Blackburn fan knowing that your relatively recent success is fraudulent. Must be a heavy burden. At least now, the lower and more skint they get, any success they might have (maybe the East Lancs Amateur Cup in 2023) will be achieved more akin to the proper way.

I can't claim to know why those shirts were attached to the railings, however I do know, because I was present, that there was an impeccable minutes silence at Turf Moor pre-match when Bill Fox died.

I have a respect for supporters who stick by their club through thick and thin, as more often than not, times are thin far more often than they are thick. But bandwagon jumpers, and indeed people who switch allegiances just to be associated with success, can go and find something high to jump off. If Rovers drop tomorrow, the longstanding supporters who witnessed the previous stint at the third level and play off failings before Jack arrived, will have some sympathy from me, and the newer generations who seem to think Rovers are a Manchester United type club and have the same egotistical arrogance that we find displayed with them can suck it up.

And its those folk that incline me to say "Come on Brentford".

Balls to 'em. Give them League One.

Keep trying. We won't sympathise with you, or align with you or join you in any way in rationalising the plight of that lot you claim to support. You fail to understand that the vast majority of Burnley supporters across the world are deliriously happy about your plight and are crossing every finger and toe for a Brentford victory. And if it happens, expect us to gloat and not to be the slightest bit magnanimous in your defeat.

Im not a blackburn hater.... but you had fun with the banner and plane when we were a million miles from where you where and it was truly a painful time being a burnley fan, but youve stated on here your to big to go to the basement... your not and so it could come to pass. Blackpool portsmouth and now coventry are examples. You had a good man ploughing money into his club fair play to him.we had the begging bowl out. And eventually did it the hard way.no benefactors for us.a group of local business men hands firmly tied.utc

Never really 'hated' the club, but the arrogance and condescending bull5h1t from the newer generations have only served to build a grudge against them.

League 1 is too good for them, but its a start.
