Yep.
Special mention must go to the Boil that's Coyle and his excellent 'Loser Virus'.
Seeded and cultivated in the right place, just at the right time.

What an interesting thing memory is. I still remember this boards reverence him after he got us promoted.

What's he up to now ? Binge drinking on Irn Bru in celebration at his destruction of Lancashire football.

Bygones are bygones for me now.
He got us promoted to the Premier League and then was critical in taking Blackburn Rovers to League One.
I am going to forget the bit in the middle now - Owen Coyle is a Burnley FC legend and should do the halftime draw annually.

Therefore you should remember when he left us mid season taking all the backroom staff and making it practically impossible for us to remain in the prem.brexit wrote:What an interesting thing memory is. I still remember this boards reverence him after he got us promoted.

You are so right-ish (this Board wasn't born then but we'll let you off with that one)brexit wrote:What an interesting thing memory is. I still remember this boards reverence him after he got us promoted.
He was revered for what he achieved at t'Turf, then spit on his chips in the way that he ****** off to Horwich.
He has recovered some of his lost reverence this Season, helping to free up a place in the Championship for (hopefully) Fleetwood Town.

It makes you wonder what other factors were in play for him to do so well here, and so poorly elsewhere.

Re: Agent Coyle
In fairness, C&J, he had a similar amount of success at Bolton. He kept them up twice and got them to a Semi Final(where they tanked spectacularly). It was his third season there that it went utterly pear-shaped.

Re: Agent Coyle
His devastating style has taken three semi established premier league outfits and left them languishing in div 3 after his antics.
Re: Agent Coyle
Very clever Owen, he loves the Clarets so so much that, as soon as he realised he couldn't stop a team from being relegated he took it on himself in a courageous act of selflessness and self-sacrifice to do what was best for the Clarets and leave them in better hands, and then systematically destroy every other team in Lancashire(ish) utterly decimating our closest rivals for us, knowing that this would leave his beloved Clarets 10 years ahead and top dogs in these parts for many many years....
Forgiven? Surely it is now clear that this was our own demi-god's plan from the outset, there is nothing to forgive, in fact we should be asking forgiveness for our doubt and blasphemy, I never doubted you oh sweet saviour. Ameen

Bolton
Wigan
Blackburn
Burnley (let's face it)
He even left his yank outfit winless and floundering at the bottom of the league
His managerial record is closing in on the late Alan Ball

I'd change "annually" to "weekly" to be honest at the moment.I am going to forget the bit in the middle now - Owen Coyle is a Burnley FC legend and should do the halftime draw annually.
What a job he did for them!

Re: Agent Coyle
I presume he is finished now as a manager having left or been sacked from 5 clubs he has helped to relegate namely us, Notlob, Wigan, Rovers and Ross County-clearly a man who "knows not and knows not that he knows not"

You know you’ve hit bedrock when even Leeds aren't looking at you, and you are thought to be worse than Hockaday.
