Our annual trip to Halki (tiny island an hour away from Rhodes by small ferry) in August. Time to walk, swim and relax; great food in the tavernas and very friendly.

Off to Dieppe (Normandy) on Sunday morning in the motorhome. Plan to stay 2 nights in Chartres then drive down to the Dordogne for 10 days, first Brantome then Baynec.
On the way back we'll visit the memorial village at Oradour-sur-Glane then finally a few nights in Brittany.

Will be tuning in every day to UTC and cycling around in my Burnley top.

Back on Sunday July 10th

Just landed back from our favourite part of Spain, Asturias. Very few Brits, great food, wine and cider and some lovely walks.

Asturias, Cantabria both stunning areas of Spain. Had a great stay in Llanes a few years ago, not far from the beautiful Picos d'Europa.

Just done a week in Le Mans, next is 4 days in Begium at the end of July, we're driving down to Italy in August for a 2 week jaunt and then a 10 day road trip in sports cars to Spain in September. In October the Mrs has got 8 days with the neighbours in Vegas. I've been lots of times and really couldn't be bothered going again; I'd rather stay at home and watch footy with a beer.

Edit; I've just been told I'm going to Iceland next January with a mate and his wife. Never been, so could be interesting.

Recently returned after a week in Tenerife. An all time England legend was staying in the same hotel with his wife. None other than Roger Hunt. He noticed my Burnley FC towel and came over with his wife for a chat. Quite a lengthy chat. A more grounded, humble person you could not wish to meet. It was an absolute honour and privilege. There are 10 living members of the World Cup winning team, including Jimmy Greaves still alive and they should all be decorated with Knighthoods for what the've achieved.

I have a feeling Mr McGreal was being a tad sarcastic....

Iceland is awesome, spent some time there a number of years ago. Expensive but stunning scenery and nature....you will enjoy it!

Far too long to wait but a couple of small Greek Islands...Sifnos and Serifos...in early September. Taking the ferry out there from Piraeus in the time-honoured fashion. Sun, relaxation, a few good books, the odd walk, the cool Aegean, friendly people, cold beer, delicious Greek food in a taverna whilst the harbour lights twinkle...I love Greece !

Both my properties on the Costa Del Sol overlook the Mediterranean, so I think my holiday this year will be couple of weeks in Burnley at the start of the new PL season.

No mate not Prodivers, it's a new setup that are looking for senior instructors!

She is doing well, slow progress but just glad we are back together, she arrived in the U.K. About 2 weeks ago.
