I sincerely hope it's pointless for them. Seriously, some supporters need to get their feet back on the ground.

Dead rubber.
And yeah, it CAN be decidedly dodgy. Especially if you're a cheeky, chirpy cockney waaaaanker, who spends all day on the lash, then walks into a Burnley boozer, giving it large.

Dodgy round Burnley?
Wasn't it the UTD bus they chucked bricks at for their last game at their old ground?

Not been to their new place, but Upton Park was always dodgy.
On a par with the old Den at Millwall!
Out of all the London grounds, for me, they were the worst.
Also, two million a place ensures it's not a pointless game.
They might not think it's a lot of dosh.
I do!

He'll get his wish, it will be the most pointless match when they lose.

Re: a view from a west hammmer
Sitting on the edges of their seats for much of the time this season Clarets fans have often been a bit muted at home. But Turf Moor on the final day of the season is a good time to pay your first visit, what with the Clarets managing to retain their PL status PLUS, of course, the sad demise of near neighbours B Rovers to celebrate. Looking like a fairly full house, too, which will add to the atmosphere. The away end, partly shared with home fans, is a bit dated but its acoustics are great, so you can make a fair old racket in there.
Traditionally, last game of the season Burnley youngsters usually race onto the pitch at full time and often head rashly in the direction of the away end (before thinking better of it when they see the reaction ) but it's just exuberance - they're just kids.
One or two welcoming pubs up near the station, you've also got the cricket club for (mostly) away fans directly behind your stand.
There's fantastic scenery around Burnley (which isn't the prettiest of places, but then nor is East London, come to think of it). Have a great day out.

Re: a view from a west hammmer
Met up with some old West Brom uni pals the other week. The last time they came was the old third division game that was bedlam.
They thought I was kidding when I said I'd meet them at the ministry of ale at the station - suffice to say they loved it and felt they'd never been made so welcome anywhere
How times change
Special mention as well for the boot where even I hadn't been for 15 years

I think these days with all the banning orders its safe for away fans in most parts of the town now. People who want to fight seem to do so well away from town centres these days.

Are these lads coming? If so, my mum's going to the match, so she will have a word with them

Re: a view from a west hammmer
Well I'm looking forward to it. Great to finish above West Ham and possibly as high as 11th. Also to celebrate a great effort this season!
