This is a huge filly who has been crying out for 6 furlongs…she is best drawn today
And this track should enable her to use her huge stride.

3 20 SEA OF GREEN 9/2
Trained by local trainer Goldie this ran over wrong trip last time
This is the horses trip and nicely handicapped.

3 50 TYLERY WONDER 6/1
Tried to make all last time but didn’t stay the extended 5 furlongs at Wetherby
Has the rail draw here and will hopefully bounce out and make all.

5 10 HIMALAYAN QUEEN 16/1 BET 365
Has made my notebook twice under this weak jockey when she should have won
But she is falling down the weights and has the ability to win a race like this if the jockey doesn’t mess up.

5 20 PURE ART 10/1
This filly has 9lbs to find with the hot fav nezwaah in this race but nezwaah has a knee action and this fast
Ground will not be ideal…2nd fav maleficient queen also ideally wants juice in the ground and a bit further.
If pure art has improved from 3 to 4 then she should run a big race here….trainer beckett is particularly
Good with fillies.

It was 5/1 just before the off, just raced mid division all race and never really got near. Strange pattern from a Johnston horse

DEAN&DELUCA PGA event this week. Spieth won it last year and favorite again this week but watching him miss the cut last week he has serious problems throughout his game will be a surprise to me if he makes Top 10 even this week. This is a tight course, small greens, many bunkers and favors precision golf and players with a bit of experience that have played the course a couple of times before. Accuracy of the tee, being in right position on the fairway and the ability to shape the ball. Key stats factored GIR, Scrambling, Driving Accuracy (DA). Putting also key but harder to predict

Bets taken for Top10/20 market but others will leave for In play win market watch how they go and how the odds fluctuate. Of these I like Top 20 on Chris Stroud and saw lots of difference in the market last night – 10/1 may have shifted in. Also I like Ryan Palmer – I will watch his play and odds

Also, with the BMW PGA at Wentworth I dont normally follow the euro tour due to the timings – however… looking at the field what I will say is Molinari 16/1 and also Noren 20/1 have been right in the mix in the recent PGA events – playing some good stuff in windy conditions but not closing things out – both good ball strikers. No bet yet as seem short initially but they may go well. Another player I like is Soren Kjeldsen 100/1 he played very well at the Masters before a poor final round… he also beat McIlroy at the Dell Matchplay this year en route to T5. He isn’t the longest hitter and this is a bit of a blind bet as I don’t follow the tour closely and haven’t researched the course etc –100/1 seems value – his record at Wentworth is mixed … a 3rd, T10 but also a few MC. Single bet for me at the event 100/1 win plus 15/2 top 10

that was appalling...sea of green lost at least 10 lengths to the leaders there ....I have to be careful what I say here....but shall we say that that horse will win a race or 2 when perhaps a bigger price...thats why I keep a notebook...
going back to oct 2009 I saw him give hawkeyethenoo a very similar effort at muss...he was 5/6 fav and rated 69...held up and never involved...by may 2010 he was running in group 2 races off a mark of 109...almost 3 stone higher rating after winning 3 or 4 handicaps in between....it beggars belief at times how they get away with it.
the 2 year old in the first needs even further than 6 furlongs although in the end was drawn wrong side....definitely worth following over 7f and a mile this season.

The winner was welcome for the Irish trainer his second out of 88 in GB races, and 3/1JF to boot. Which is why I leave these class 6 races alone

Think Pure Art is a good tip, even at current price at about 7s

thinking of getting my front garden done...can anyone recommend best type to use...where to buy from locally...apparently some is porous and goes green....looking for minimal maintenance...if anyone can recommend a good layer as well...I have around 20 sq metres to do ...utc.

JG has had many horses over the years that run into places at the big meetings. Great trainer for small owners but not for form followers

Well he never trained a winner for me. And his tips for other horses always veered to the optimistic. The best thing he ever did was offer me a drink when he saw me looking fed up after my horse had come last at Carlisle. little did I know that he had just won the next race and he took me to the stewards room where the drinks were free. A true Scotsman. Nice bloke tho and he always stops for a chat when I see him.

TBH it was a rare dalliance for me to own a flat horse, I prefer jumps. Sue Smith has been my trainer for 15 years now and she and Harvey are brilliant. When they say we are going to win a handicap we do, and nobody else knows. Have has some nice touches but it took more than 5 years to gain Harvey's trust. A true Yorkshireman and I think Sue is the best NH trainer in the North, but because they are not commercial in their attitude they don't get the fire power that wealthy owners can provide. I think this is by design as they like to be in charge.
