Very Upbeat Mike Garlick Interview
Re: Very Upbeat Mike Garlick Interview
Even if it's just a reminder of bookings it can be useful when you're engrossed in a game. I have no desire to see the adverts or birthday wishes. As I said it's nowhere near a big issue for me or I'd move seats
Re: Very Upbeat Mike Garlick Interview
I like the screen and I'm glad I can see it from my seat.

Just thinking but instead of spending a significant chunk of money on the lower disabled facilities, why don't they relocate that area to the far left of the corporate boxes of Jimmy Mac lower? Great view not too far way from the current location, ability to move inside or outside depending on the weather. Closer to facilities and food areas. Surely there's a prexisting lift there.
The current facilities are a sham I'll give you that.

You can tell how far we have come as a club when the Birthday greetings on the big screen are no longer the highlight of the 90 minutes , as they often were in the latter stages of Steve Cotterill's reign.

Doesn't work like that. The upgrade will be providing the disabled with proper seating facilities and, more than anything else, toilet facilities which fall far short at many grounds. It is not a case of moving them into an area.criminalclaret wrote:Just thinking but instead of spending a significant chunk of money on the lower disabled facilities, why don't they relocate that area to the far left of the corporate boxes of Jimmy Mac lower? Re: Very Upbeat Mike Garlick Interview
Do you recall when it first went in and they took seats out of the cricket field stand and put it in there. At half time on the day it was first used I had to walk round the pitch perimeter at the other end and it must have been really off putting for the goalkeepers looking down the pitch.Blackrod wrote:I like the screen and I'm glad I can see it from my seat.

Are you making excuses for Brian Jensen?ClaretTony wrote:Do you recall when it first went in and they took seats out of the cricket field stand and put it in there. or Diego Penny?
Re: Very Upbeat Mike Garlick Interview
Encouraging news on squad strengthening and better disabled facilities at last, but little disappointed there's nothing imminent on upgrading the stadium, both bob lord and cfs need a revamp to me, looking very tired , especially from the outside, as there are no plans, I would like to see the tv gantry on the opposite side to give a better view of the stadium

Lovely crest on the seats there.
Re: Very Upbeat Mike Garlick Interview
But they do tell you to follow instructions on the screen for certain things. They need to sit in my seat and announce it!

I agree with Turfytop, in that the outside of the ground, and in particular the Bob Lord stand exterior, is looking a mess. It really needs some money spending on it to freshen it up. A paint job or whatever. Maybe new signage?
Also, those dirty tarpaulin sins stuck on it too. I can't remember what they're advertising, but they've been there Denice we wpfirst went up to the Premier League, surely it's time they went....looks poor.
Great interview from Mike Garlick though. I like what he has to say.

Hoping this work on the disabled facilities does not lower the capacity to below 20k.
