Re: Seat swap
Nope.
The telephone system at Turf Moor remains an embarrassment.
It just rings for a bit and then cuts you off.

Re: Seat swap
I got through 20 minutes ago. Couldn't find any suitable seats to swap to though!
I did have to try a few times though, some sort of queue would be good...

Re: Seat swap
No issue with it being busy, but you can't expect people to phone 20+ times in a working day.
Simple queueing system which supplies information to the caller isn't much to ask for in 2017 from a multi-million £ business.

Today is opening date, not announced how long for though, usually about a week?Murger wrote:Is cut off point today?
Re: Seat swap
So you have to ring up, find out what seats are available and deal with it from there? You can't log into the ticketing system and have a browse?

Re: Seat swap
It's really rubbish that in 2017, a £100m+ turnover company selling 20,000+ seats every fortnight can't get something this simple right.

Re: Seat swap
IMO they have gone about this wrong
Person A may sit in JML and want to move to CFS
Person B may sit in CFS and want to move to JML
Neither can swap because neither is able to move until the other does but it "could" be a straight swap
They should have done a "register of interest" of those that want to swap. Know it would be a bit of work but they could have collated it as part of the renewal process

Re: Seat swap
I have a meeting at the club tomorrow and will ensure these points are discussed
Re: Seat swap
I tried early morning an couldn't get through.
But I tried again half and hour ago and got straight through and swapped in less than five mins

I did too. Took 17 calls.

I wondered how they resolve that issue?wilks_bfc wrote:IMO they have gone about this wrong

Re: Seat swap
Swapped 2 straight away over the phone with no problems. Credit where credit is due, my best and easiest ever experience with ticket office.
Re: Seat swap
Got through at the 2nd attempt, and armed with a google image of the CFS managed to get a decent seat. I think.
Would have been a million times easier if I could have selected it myself online however.

Re: Seat swap
My dad and I normally sit in the Bob Lord but have got STs for next season in the jimmy mac lower. How far back do you have to sit to avoid getting rained on?

Re: Seat swap
We sit on row L and are pretty much ok depending on the wind (unless they haven't fixed the hole in roof above)RogerBest wrote:My dad and I normally sit in the Bob Lord but have got STs for next season in the jimmy mac lower. How far back do you have to sit to avoid getting rained on?

Re: Seat swap
Tried a couple of hours ago, wanted to swap from JML to CFS but no 4 seats together available. Even 2 in front of 2.
Might have to return to the wings of the JHU.
(Want to move from JML due to getting wet when it rains. We are currently on Row G)

Re: Seat swap
The guy I spoke to at the club was really helpful and sorted it easily this afternoon.
I couldn't get through on the first 3 tries but then pressed a different option on the phone and got through fairly promptly.
I'll be able to stop guessing what's happening when the ball is down the other end now.....

Re: Seat swap
I wanted N137 in the CFS where I have stood ever since we moved in there last year. I was, yet again, told that it is a 'sold' seat despite the actual owner never having, to my knowledge, been near the seat. It has been OK whilst there have been empty spaces throughout the CFS even when officially sold out but they are looking to sell more tickets in there next season so there could be issues. I may try again just before the end of the swap window.
The register of interest is a great idea.

Re: Seat swap
Just moved mine from JML to JMU, 4 seats in total.
I got through on the first call too.
Will be in block 3 near the top.

Re: Seat swap
I went down in person after work yesterday and I'm happy to report that my chances of committing murder have significantly reduced now that I'm no longer sat behind Captain bellend and his two halfwit inbred teenage boys.
Imagine the scene: Its the last game of the season and Burnley have comfortably survived the drop and attained their highest ever finish in recent history. The Man sat in front of you, amongst other gems, screams "YER DONT KNOW WOT YER F*CKIN' DOIN' DYCHE!".
Around the 30 minute mark, he has had enough and goes for his half time pint early. His two late teen sons stay seated but don't continue watch the match at all but instead play fight like small children until he returns around the 60 minute mark. They all leave for good by the 80th minute.
Now imagine the same thing, every game since the beginning of the season, with 2 or 3 players targeted (seemingly at random) for near constant verbal abuse. Also factor in that one of the players criticised all game usually ends up wining MOM.
It really makes me appreciate some of the irrelevant drivel I sometimes read on here as it is so much more tolerable than the rage inducing ignorance and stupidity I've had to endure all season on the turf.
Vent over.
