Bowland Brewery, Clitheroe later, for a few pints of ale in the late afternoon sunshine. Smashing.

The Mrs is away for a few days. So it's a wild weekend for me...and by that I mean playing PS4 most of the time, haha.

Have you tried the Virtual Reality headsets? I was talking to my mate the other day who has one and he says they are superb.

We were saying, it'll come a point in the future where you won't need to go on holiday to see new places - you'll be able to see any sights you want via VR.

I was there last Sunday whilst visiting our son in Warminster. Invested in some rather tasty cheeses, these are the ones we bought, not the samples on the stall :D :D

No, never tried them! I am interested in trying them out but I'm unconvinced by them at present. I just don't think the technology is there yet and I think sales probably reflect that. Most of the games on PS VR are more like tech demos rather than actual games. Now if they can bring me full-on Battlefield 4 in VR then I'll pay top dollar for that! :D

I got a VR headset a few weeks ago and it is amazing. I watched Drones by Muse on it and felt quite emotional by the end of it - it affects you (in a good way) more than any other kind of media. Incredibly emotive in general - especially walking through a dark and grimy house being stalked by a killing machine in Resident Evil!

Taking my lad to Preston for his driving theory test. He'd better pass, costing me a fortune ferrying him around everywhere :)

Edit: He passed :D

Yeah but I suppose it's a small price to pay for a life skill. If you consider how much a 1 hour taxi ride would cost , a 1 hour driving lesson is cheap.

Bit like Bob Lord's idea that if you show matches live on TV, no-one will go to the matches. I doubt that virtual reality will ever replicate weather conditions - sun worshippers will still need to leave the country.
