venky's out candidate

Post by LordBob » Thu Jun 08, 2017 9:58 pm

Have I missed something on this site regarding this guy called Miller who is standing in a Blackburn constituency as a Venky's Out candidate. A friend of mine has him on his voting card, does anyone know anymore about this?

I've not seen or heard anything about this in any news.

The Rovers fans had high hopes of it creating a lot of publicity but as far as I can tell, nobody gives a flying one.

They'll still be poverty-stricken in League One in August and we'll be awash with money in the Prem. They can vote in who the hell they like but they'll still be stuffed. A bit like the UK really.............

He's called Duncan Miller and he was definitely standing in Blackburn according to
those mutants over on brfcs. Might get some votes from up Shad.

It was arranged by one of the supporters groups.

It has been mentioned on here, but not for a while now, I'd forgotten about it until this thread popped up.

His main thing is Venkys out, not sure what else he was campaigning on.

Yeah by writing off debts totalling nearly £100 million.
About 2008 I think it was, but you keep on blaming the Venkys, its hilarious for anyone who knows how badly run you were financially by the Trust

He got 875 votes, coming third and relegating :D the Lib Dems to fourth.

So the people of Blackburn want the Venkys?

Brilliant post about this on BRFCS:

"875 votes (1.8%)

National picture aside, a sign perhaps of just how many Rovers fans now live outside the town of Blackburn."

Yeah, right.

They've got fans from as far away as Oswaldtwistle and Rawtenstall.

I would have thought if he changed his name by deed poll to Giro Day he would have been elected by a landslide despite it sounding somewhat foreign.
