Neil Moore v Preston was great.
Papadopoulos at Ipswich.
Taylor used to score loads of great headers, really rated him.
Steve Davis v Spurs. In fact there are loads of thumpers from Davis and Pender.
Best one though is definitely Ings at Old Trafford

Didn't Gareth Taylor once take a penalty with his head? If so, that one.

Burnley 1 - 0 Doncaster and a last minute Ron Futcher header to win it.
Took my little sister on this for her first ever Burnley game.
I took her on the Longside in a must win game to keep our automatic promotion hopes alive.
It had 0-0 written all over it with Doncaster living up to the dour defensive Yorkshire team tag making it a poor game.
With five minutes left we started to make our way towards the Bee Hole End as you did in those days.
Oh well a point is better than nothing but it won't really help us get automatic promotion I tried to explain to her.......And then a corner, there is hope. By this time we were right behind the Bee Hole End goal.
John Deary swings it in and right in front of us Ron Futcher heads in his 20th goal of the season.
The crowd went wild ....and she's been a regular attendee ever since with my nephews now also in attendance it is moments like these you never ever forget and it gets in your blood.
As you can tell from the footage even though it was only the 4th division it meant a lot at the time for the success starved Burnley fans which emphasises how amazing it is where we are today.
Even though we didn't go up it was a brilliant season and it was in my opinion the start of the rise as we actually began to believe again.
The following season we were unstoppable.

Re: Your personal favourite headed Burnley goal
Anyone mentioned Jack Cork's late winner VS PNE.
Not great technique but good for a few reasons
1. A diving header
2. in the last(ish) minute winner
3. against local rivals

I`d love to know what Gray said to St>Ledger after his brilliant own goal. I very much doubt it was "commiserations, mate".ClaretTony wrote:St Ledger pushes him close but it has to be Britton for me
