The Independent are reporting that the gunman asked if they were Republicans or Democrats before opening fire. So this will clearly be the fault of all Democrats. If only those Democrats hadn't made it so easy for nutters to get guns.

James T Hodgkinson is a 66-year-old man from Belleville, Illinois
His wife told ABC News he moved to Virginia two months ago
His Facebook account shows anti-Republican and anti-Trump rhetoric
He volunteered on the campaign of former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders
He had a string of criminal convictions, including traffic violations and allegations of violence

PDT's comment: "We may have our differences, but we do well in times like these to remember that everyone who serves in our nation's capital is here because, above all, they love our country,"

I believe the majority will agree with PDT's comment.

It is possible that Hodgkinson is the US equivalent of the individual who murdered Jo Cox last year.

Please remember, what unites us is more important than the things that may divide us.

I don't agree with PDT's comment. I'm sure there are an awful lot of people in congress and the white house who are their for their love of money, not country. If they loved their country then they'd work to protect its people, not kill them.

There are certainly good Republicans and bad Democrats, but i'm going to hold no sympathy for someone like Scalise. I'll reserve my sympathy for the two police officers who were shot and all the others whose lives are are lost, or made more dangerous every single day because of pieces of **** like Scalise who think that psychologically unfit people and violent criminals should still be allowed to buy guns without background checks or waiting periods.

What we know about the Bernie Boomer who attempted to slaughter Republican congressmen, and succeeded in injuring Rep. Scalise:

- He was an avid supporter of Bernie Sanders
- He was a fan of Rachel Maddow, Last Week Tonight, Real Time with Bill Maher, and The Daily Show
- He was in several radical, hate-spewing Facebook groups, including "Terminate the Republican Party"
- He posted "It's time to destroy Trump & Co" on Facebook before the attack
- He posted it was time for Republicans to be "locked up and shot" on Facebook before the attack
- He considered himself a Democratic Socialist

The media are trying to hide these facts. This man, who thankfully was shot and killed by police, is the very definition of a domestic terrorist.
He was radicalized by the sensationalized leftist mainstream media, and he undoubtedly thought his death would cause others to see him as a martyr.

Nah, fact checking is too time consuming for issues that don't affect me in the slightest, I generally just give such issues a passive "like" and carry on scrolling down my newsfeed in these type of happenings. One in a thousand that I will straight up copy and paste it onto another platform.

Points 1 & 2 are redundant, although I did edit my previous post slightly to sort of address point 1 - i.e. my question was more hypothetical than speaking about this instance. I don't know it's fake, as I said, but you don't know it isn't, and that's the point.

There are people actually trying to paint targets on the back of journalists by spreading lies about them on Twitter. I've seen people listing four CNN anchors and MSNBC anchors including this piece of **** posting falsified tweets from Rachel Maddow. And they have the ******* nerve to accuse Bernie Sanders of stoking up attacks like this because he used the term "fight back".

Katie Hopkins lost her job over her "final solution" tweet. You don't feel this comment by Maddow should be held to equal account?
