I read Scotty is in the provisional Canada 40 man squad for the concacaf cup.
This runs from July 7th to 26th. There goes a pre-season!

Wont be a problem for us, it looks like he will be leaving. His brother is certainly expecting him to leave anyway
Re: scott arfield..canada
So just a month of then?
Why what has his brother said different?

Re: scott arfield..canada
Can understand why he opted to play for canada. Bit still think it was one of the worse decisions he couldve made. Playing international football. In big stadiums and in conpetitions is great. But its harmed his burnley career and performances a little in my eyes. Always struggles for a few games after playing there. Shouldve held out for scotland.
Re: scott arfield..canada
He would still be holding out!
Re: scott arfield..canada
His brother posted on Facebook after the final game something like "its been a great 4 years" etc it was like he was expecting him to leave.MACCA wrote:So just a month of then?

Absolutely...is that useless excuse for a manager Stachcan still there?
Re: scott arfield..canada
Yes I heard that, I just took it as a great 4 years under Dyche, capped off by staying in the premier league.KRBFC wrote:His brother posted on Facebook after the final game something like "its been a great 4 years" etc it was like he was expecting him to leave.
Can actually call himself a premier league player after staying in the league. ( if you get relegated, you didn't make the grade in my eyes )
But can see the angle that he us in his way, now you point it out.

Having read the actual full post myself I agree with you and it doesn't sound like hes leaving after all. Infact the post is quite the opposite to what I thought.MACCA wrote:Yes I heard that, I just took it as a great 4 years under Dyche, capped off by staying in the premier league.

Well that's it official!... that little team Burnley FC have defied all the odds and not just stayed up by the skin of their teeth, but put their own stamp into the best League in the world and contributed to it in The Burnley Style! What an achievement by the Lads and personally I believe it's all be done by the love and support they get from the Fans! What a season it has been. Thank you all so very much and well done to all connected to The Clarets! Premier League 17/18?... See ye there!.. Cmon The Burnley!
That's the post I read after making the comment above, I was sure I'd seen someone copy and paste a different post from him which seemed to indicate Arfield would be leaving but I can't find the other post (If there even was one) maybe I was fooled by listening to other people. For whatever reason I had ''Arfield is leaving, his brother basically said so on Facebook'' stuck in my head but I can't find the evidence his brother actually said so, so it's either been deleted or the person who posted it on here completely made it up.

Re: scott arfield..canada
there was a different one I think before the last game of the season, from memory it read something like "for one last time on the hallowed Turf"
Interpret that any which way you want I suppose

Re: scott arfield..canada
Stuart's post on social media indicated that there was a real possibility that this might be Scott''s last appearance for Burnley and, if so, that they'd have fantastic memories to treasure for always. I guess a lot of footballers reach a stage with their club when their future starts to become quite uncertain for various reasons; Stuart's post reflected that kind of uncertainty was in the air at that time.

Re: scott arfield..canada
Canadas final 23man squad has to be handed in before June 27th.
As long as his name is on our squad list I'll be interested.
