Clarets Player

Post by Grimsby Claret » Fri Jun 23, 2017 8:14 am

Anyone else having trouble logging on/signing in to Clarets Player.
I tried to log into player via the new Burnley fc website.
I was asked to change/update my password by eflsupport/ I follow team.
My old and new password were rejected time and again yesterday.
I kept being redirected to my account information which I had to update incidentally.
They didn't even have my bank account details they claimed, although they took my subscription.
Direct debit on the 21st of June.
Anyway the annoying thing is following their directions just had me going round in circles.
No matter how many times they asked me to change my password i could not get player.
So Frustrating spent all evening messing about with it and still cant get Player.
Anybody got any suggestions ?

Hi Grimsby, I binned Clarets Player perhaps 2 seasons ago because it became so difficult to access, poor coverage etc etc. Your post makes me believe I will not be purchasing it again this season. Hope you and your lad are well. Vin

I had the same problem but a mail to claretsplayersupport@burnleyfc.com resolved it in a jiffy. I do not agree about the bad quality of Clarets Player. Over the years it has improved tremendously and the HD version is awesome. For a foreign supporter like myself it is a must.

I was having similar problems so I telephoned the club (media department). Eventually it has been sorted out.

It can't be generic, I've had no issues.

I also think it's excellent.
Pre/post match interviews, highlights, news snippets and the Turf More show all spot on.

I mailed support last week and heard nothing. I then mailed Daz Bentley who said he would look into it and again i've heard nothing. I'm thinking of cancelling but there isn't a monthly payment option if you want to register again. Looks like I will be going without.

Clarets player has been great these past 2 seasons, sadly i think theirs a lack of investment in it now, towards the end of the season many of the great features seem to have fallen by the way side. The Turf More show...absolutely brilliant! but went from every month to every other month to about 2 in the last 6 months.

Seems to me if Darren Bentley is busy then Clarets player suffers.

More staff in that area please.

Got to agree with Smallpaul
As regards logging in to the site I have had no problems with it as yet.

Could these issues be anything to do with the impending tv deal for EFL clubs.

I believe it is this platform being used/updated to the ifollow platform which will stream live games?

Still poor whatever the reason though..

I had problems when the site changed/upgraded but I just clicked on change your password and it worked.

I e-mailed Clarets Player support twice but got nothing back.

Am experiencing problems with renewing my subscription for this service. I cannot use my existing username (my email address). So I have emailed clarets player tonight. Will let you know how responsive they are.

Clarets Player is fantastic. Has been for some time.

However, they do urgently need to address the lack of an App. That was/is the only way I access it.

Darren Bentley has tweeted to say that the club are on to the new provider to get it sorted.

Evening, pleased to say that I was sent an e-mail last night from the clarets player people with instructions on how to reset my password and update my details. I have been able to follow their request and have now purchased a season pass. Very happy with the prompt response!
