FAO Bodge - Cricket, Weather & Luck

Post by tybfc » Thu Jun 29, 2017 5:32 pm

Good afternoon.

You certainly got a get out of jail card this week at Headingley when your rain dance worked again and you scrambled a draw.

Unfortunately so did the Brummies and the Lancy's had to suffer a draw when a potential win was on the cards.

Anyway we have opened up another couple of points lead in second place.

Looking forward to seeing you at the EOT next month if you are visiting?

Yes the weather played havoc with day/night cricket this week, the last week in June! Yorks on for a hiding but any result possible at OT. Pink ball cricket experiment inconclusive but nowt in it for the bowlers after a dozen overs.

Shame the weather ruined a few games with most counties at full strength.

Evening ty, nice to see that as per usual the Lanky fans are getting giddy early doors in the season.

I was planning on visiting EOT on the 14th for the hit and giggle fest but it appears that the allure of watching your fat lads from Wigan and Chorley hoiking sixes over mid wicket has rendered it a sell out, never mind., i'll have to be earlier next year.
