Rishton beat Clitheroe. Well you wouldn't have put any money on that.
At a guess the Rishton pro had a good game.

Yes - as I guessed. He was the only Rishton batter to get into double figures with 68, and took 3-31.
Great match at Seedhill with 2 amateurs hitting centuries, and Nelson getting over the line thanks to an 8th wicket partnership of 32 from not many balls, and with 3 balls to spare.

Who scored the centuries?

The rest of the batters must have had a great day; two lads scored at least 200 out of 231!

How very dare you! The mighty Colne earned a the grand sum of 2 points (possibly the most undeserved 2 points ever) by bowling Burnley out off the last ball.

What is the split? 9 in the top tier or bottom?

The Housers on here won't be happy with being bottom of the league. They will think they're back in the 90s.

Haven't finished bottom of the league since 1975.

It's a bit confusing - but looks as though it is going to be 9 in the top tier and 8 in the bottom.

Seems they have too many fixtures set out with 9 weeks in the top division and 8 in the bottom unless my maths is way off the scale.

That should mean the top 8 currently will walk it into the top division with one more to be added.

Will the teams in the bottom half of the split be playing for anything this season, i.e a Division 2 trophy or are they just plodding through the rest of the season?

The format was decided before the league accepted a further 7 clubs for next season. So unfortunately they will be plodding through but we all accept it on the basis that it's only one season whilst things were sorted out properly.

9 in the top half, 8 in the bottom. The top half will each have 8 more matches and a bye week; the bottom half each have 7 more matches. And effectively two bye weeks, though I think it means the bottom half finish two weeks earlier.

Next year it's one division of 24, all play all, 23 game season; then in 2019 it will be two divisions of 12.

So whoever finishes top of the bottom half will be unofficial 'best of the rest'?

Maybe they will buy themselves one of those inflatable trophies.
