I can not believe that a club would come out and say that this or that player actually cost more. Sounds like all Gibson wants to do is impress the fans by saying look we are spending all this money so we are trying our best. Instead of doing like Dyche and working with the team and getting down to business. Would not surprise me Assombolonga breaking down within 3 months and being ruled out for most of the season.

I think it is more to do with the fact that they've had enough of the Gazette and were trying to belittle them.

Seems strange as all articles I have seen have always been so Pro Boro. Maybe it is the way which they belittle other clubs as they did last season and the season before and made out some kind of rivalry which weren't there in my mind. Suppose they are very antagonistic and maybe Gibson sees that and thinks they are doing more harm than good
